Well Diaz has never been slept in his UFC career. So if ur hoping that happens hopefully your boy Leon can get it done in the 1st rd. If not it’s going to be a long 5 rds. For him. Just hoping his endurance can last that long. Since he only has 2 KO’s in the UFC I have a hard time believing he will get this done.

No one deserves a title shot more than Leon.
I think he is approaching it correctly, time frame wise... by letting both Masvidal & Colby to take two turns each against the slowing down mighty Usman. Being only 29, time is squarely on Leon's side. There's no rush. Good as Usman is, he's no longer the fast & agile, 28 year-old guy who used his D1 wrestling to persistently take Leon down & keeping him on the mat, even though he couldn't physically overwhelm the inexperienced, 24 year-old Leon who's just one year into the UFC.
Usman is approaching 34, with bad knees & surgeries; he also has openly talked about retirement. He likely will defeat the MAGA man at least as bad as the first time, like what he did to Jorge in their 2nd fight; but fighting 3 incredibly tough guys like Masvidal, Colby, & Burns back to back has put a lot of mileage into Usman's odometer.
By the end of 2021, as Leon projected, or by early/mid 2022, Leon likely will become champ, if he & coaches are able to devise a good game plan & carry it out.

@@fishingireland8882 Colby will very likely get finished like Jorge this time around. The dude is skilled and tough, but he's a bit too undersized & slow to deal with bigger, taller, or stronger guys like Usman, Leon, Burns, and even Luque.
I see Burns and Luque readily KO Colby in toe to toe exchange. Leon would run in circles around him easily given the 6'2" Leon's superior speed and agility.
At any other time, Colby could have become champ.
Unfortunately, MAGA man's prime is being sandwiched between ultra tough opponents... with Usman & Burns still being only 33 and 34, ultra strong guys with specialties, on the one hand &, on the other hand with Luque and Leon being 29, just peaking, one with superior speed, agility, & physical qualities 5'11" can't match and the other (Luque), with power & durability slightly better than Colby's.

My opinion: Edwards will beat Diaz, Usman will beat Colby again. Then Usman v Edwards will be made before the end of this year. Who wins? I will say right now Usman is the obvious favourite over any fighter in the whole WW division, but after the 12th we will know where Edwards is at and be able to make a more accurate prediction.
The champ will almost always be the favorite. But Leon is priming --- unlike their fight meet almost 6 years ago, when the inexperienced, lanky Leon was not even ranked & without any serious wrestling, TDD, or BJJ, all of which the priming 29 year-old Leon now has approaching elite levels, on all three.
Usman has bad knees and surgeries on those knees... he's also talked about "retiring at the top" of his game (like GSP, Khabib et al). Leon, being so much faster and more agile, will score enough points to win a decision over Usman, a reversal of their first fight. Remember, Usman has accumulated more mileage on his MMA odometer in the last 5 fights than any other at 170. Such accumulation of wear and tear WILL work against him.
6'2" Leon is basically Usman's body size. But as a priming 29 year-old, he's no issues with knees or other body problems like Usman. While both have improved a lot the last 5.5 plus years, since they first fought, again, Leon is on the rapid ascent, hungrier, 4 years younger but tens of thousands of less accumulate miles on his MMA engine... whereas the Champ has plateaued off... already starting to verbally mention things like retiring, etc.
Anyway, on the Nate-Leon fight.... while any unforeseen thing could happen, in a fight where two very skilled fighters go at it, PROBABILITY says Nate's chances of beating Leon (TKO, KO, Sub, etc) is very low. Has little to do with skills; both have their special skills. Nate is just way too slow to deal with Leon's superior speed and agility. Leon also is way too big, strong, and tall for the lanky, laid-back heavy pot smoking "MMA royal."
