The man a really bad addiction problem too. Far worse then Maradonona imo. He refused to play for Barcelona, he said he was not in it for the money. So he became a Cadiz legend. Overall, i think if this man would’ve taken his career more serious.. I guarantee you he would’ve been on the same pedestal as the legends we know of today.

Magico never won a trophy, and even though football is a team sport, people look at you playing with a championship winning team as a merit. Around the time that Barcelona were interested in him they were finally digging themselves out of the lackluster hole they were in, and Mágico could have been the first Salvadorian to win La Liga. A massive accomplishment.

El Magico played much like Maradona himself. How he did not play for a bigger club is unbelievable.
He had a far worse addiction problem then Maradona. Falling asleep at halftime in locker rooms. then he refused to play for Barcelona and other big teams. He’s a Cadiz legend
He also didn't wanted his career to be ruined and didn't wanted to get stressed so he wanted to pick team where he was satisfied and he picked Cadiz
he pretty much only played for fun.
He didn’t care about the money and fame, many clubs wanted to buy him but he refused almost all of them except of Cadiz. I could imagine how big he could’ve be if only he took his soccer career seriously.
He never wanted to leave Cadiz. He loved the city. He didn't play for money or fame.. Psg and a whole bunch of teams were behind him but he always wanted to stay in Cadiz.
Most of the time he was drunk, and tended to oversleep, but even with that he was a fantastic player. And his team Cadiz, even with his unreliability, they had to rely on him because the team is third tier and always fighting relegation in La Liga.

Not really. He prefered to stay in Cadiz CF than sign for a top team, playing in 2nd division most of the time, so he was a god for the people in Cadiz, and admired in the rest of Spain, but he wasn´t well known in the rest of Europe, because most of Cadiz´s matches were not televised.
So he remained practically unknown for the rest of the world.

My Family is from El Salvador, and Dad would talk about Magico alot. Maradona once said if he was from Brazil or Argentina, theyd consider him the best ever. But the truth is, he could have been. His skill mixed with his natural athleticism couldve made him world renown. But he rather play football for a mediocre team and league, then party all night than focusing on his career.

I'd love to see you do a video on Vasillis Hatzipanagis, an elderly Greek woman I knew who loved football raved about his dazzling skills and bemoaned the fact he was never allowed to leave Iraklis... he famously outperformed all players on the pitch in an all-star friendly. I was gonna mention Cubillas but you've already done him very recently thank you for that.
Also maybe Georgi Kinkladze "kinky" "the Georgian maestro", in my opinion he is still the most gracefully beautiful dribbler of a ball in English Premier League history that I've seen... I don't necessarily mean tricks and flicks but just the way he moved and shifted his hips and made players fall over was pure entertainment, his feet when he had a good day and his style was very much like Messi quick and frightening for defenders to face. I think there's plenty of videos of him and I'm not sure you do prem stuff much due to copyright, but played in what's now the championship maybe you could get clearer clips of him in action at his very best than what's around?
