i’ve read somewhere that it’s actually them intimidating the opponent :’’ sometimes it’s to check whether they can reach that area... i don’t think there’s a rule on tapping the floor
Yes, the main purpose is to control the momentum.
If the players don't do it, they can lose the control of body after sweeping cards.
That 2nd card though, looks like he moved before the card was even read
Yes, because it's "Fu" card, that's one syllable card like "Su" "Me" "Ho" Se" etc.
It's not like
"Chigiriki" & "Chigirio"
"Watanoharaya" & "Watanoharako"
"Yononakawa" & "Yononakayo"
"Nageki" & "Nageke"
"Wasura" & "Wasure"
Etc. You must be careful with that cards, if you take it wrong you have receive one card from opponent

あ札はあまり強く意識はしないので、狙ってないなら、三字決まりの札をくっつけて二字決まりにしてもいつもの三字決まり感覚でとってしまうので、たぶんそれであまつで取ったんじゃないでしょうか？？A級の人たちの感覚わからないんですけどね、もしかしたらふつうに暗記かもしれません

I always had the idea that karuta was gender neutral but now I see a how much faster male competitors are.
Chihayafuru gave me a fake impression.
You should also watch queen match(クイーンせん).Then you'll get another idea.
Even if there is a strange place do not mind because I can't speak English well.
Though I disagree with the tone of your comment, and find it somewhat offensive for some reason, I find it interesting that you also have noticed a difference between the Queen and Meijin matches.
From what I have seen, the Queen matches seem more nervous, with faults and obstructions and fidgeting. The Meijin matches seem to have more resolve and... dignity? But regardless, the speed doesn't seem much different to me. They are both lightning fast.
As far as Chihayafuru goes, Arata, who got beaten even before he could challenge Suou, always wins against Shinobu, the Queen who's held her position for quite a while. If anything, that gives the impression that guys are better karuta players than gals.
So yeah. I'm not sure where your impressions come from...
I don't think that they are faster, but I notice male matches are more noisy, maybe for the strength when their palms hit the tatami, in the queen match there are more sweeps.
@@GoodEnoughVenson_sigueacristo Arata lost because of plot armor. They had to nerf him badly so that he doesnt become too OP
@@viveknamikaze761 Lol, that's one way to look at it, but you could use the same reasoning to explain every single thing that takes place in a story. 'he lost because that's the way it was written' well yeah, duh.
In the meijin qualifiers between him and Harada(ch. 114), he lost the first match because Harada instantly started in on the mind games which Arata is weak to(see his later qualifier match with Taichi,) and he still saw Harada as Harada-sensei, which automatically put him in an inferior place mentally.
Harada forfeited the second match, giving Arata a seemingly unfair advantage, and thereby further confusing him.
In the third match(ch 116,) thanks to Chihaya's advice, Arata transforms into his grandfather to get out of his earlier inferior attitude. For a while, he was ahead by several cards, but the flow began to go against him. Harada was able to power through with brute force and decades of experience, and at the end Arata lost by a fault.

There are 100 cards in this karuta.
But first,they have 25 cards each.
So the others were not on the floor.
When they understand a karuta he read isn’t on the floor,
They don’t move then.
Or if you say about the first poem,it’s “zyoka”.
It’s supposed to read the poetry for the first formally.
But it isn’t contained in the 100 cards.
