Good morning jami and Lester and all kinds of new friends. Jami I can hear the smile in your voice. They are beautiful. How smart of them to notice that the gate was open. When Lester went tru they were nowhere around. Deworm, maybe a block lick, I'm glad your asking first, because we really don't know for sure how he cares for them. We have never seen their home. He must care a little or why keep them. This isn't how we take care of our horses, I'm not going to judge until I see the whole picture. But they need a little TLC.
He doesn’t have a home there it’s just an empty lot they are on. They don’t even have driveway access to the lot. It’s totally landlocked. They didnt have a water trough until Jami gave them one. Lester and Jami had that property for months before he ever seen the owner. Lester has said in the winter the owner shows up on Sundays and gives them hay but that’s it. And I’ve watched every live an video they have posted from this property an I’ve never seen signs of a hay bale. Although we don’t see everything, especially from a neighboring property. They did get contact info from the owner and asked before giving them the water and asked if they could give them treats. But the owner doesn’t care for them at all. They are stuck on that plot of land and left to fend for themselves.
I’m willing to bet the only reason he keeps any of them is for a tax write off for the property, $$$ that’s it!! Not sure how many animals you have to have on your property in TX for this benefit, but I guess he claims 6 or 5 - three horses, three or two cows.

Wild horses "mustangs" acclimate to their surroundings. They know where the natural dewormers are. They know how to trim their own hooves by hitting them on rocks. They also grow with whatever climate they are in.
The owner doesn't take much notice of his animals, as what's the point in having majestic horses if you're not taking care of them better. Gas a swollen tummy, horses have a limp to, and may have an infection going on. Jami, I am glad you've noticed something up.
They're definitely eat up with worms and the way his man parts look he either has a hernia or could have cancer that's why he's walking like that and always remember just because you see all that tall grass they can still be starving. I just feel so bad for them they're hungry 😢

They are neglected by their owner; that much is known. Unless you’re working directly with/for the BLM (Bureau of Land Management), I don’t think you can possibly know how well, or if, they survive.

I know they’re not all female, in fact only Daisy is, but I liken this adventure for Grampa and Duke too, as Cinderella going to the ball! Those three babies left the dungeon and just a step beyond one fence entered Utopia, merely on the other side of a fence. Funny because I can hear Lester plainly reminding me, “Sheesh Poison, farming is not a Disney movie” yet here I was, with my buttered popcorn in hand and my first thought being Cinderella. Sorry Lester. 🥰 What a nice surprise this was. Hope it wasn’t too difficult in getting them back to well, I’ll just be kind and just say, not Utopia, so you could get your prom shopping done. What about the cows too? This is actually considered cruelty & neglect. This is probably the first taste of grass those horses have had in a very long time. I'm sorry, but not sorry for saying this, but those animals should not be living like that at all. There's no grass in that field at all. Very sad 😭 Something should be done about this, otherwise we will be seeing dead animals over there.

I must say as beautiful as they are and sad it is that they are left to fend for themselves I don’t agree with the comments saying you should try to get them. Two intact males would be so crazy. They would need a lot of work from never having any care I’m sure which would be expensive. And two wild horses would be more dangerous than Rita is. An intact stallion would scare the heck out of me. Taking on 3 uncared for horses would be a huge thing to deal with. It’s so sad they are stuck in a landlocked pasture to fend for themselves. I don’t get what the point of having them is if he has no relationship with them and he isn’t breeding them to sell. It’s so sad! Would be a beautiful sight to see Kourtney rescue them and watch her work with them though. They are gorgeous horses! I'm happy you got the gorges back to their pasture.. when I seen one horse,running, I thought it was Voodoo at first. I seen the other running and realized you were,at JLRanch and it was Daisy and Duke. How in the world did they get that gate opened. One of them must be like another Rita, 😅. They are beautiful. ❤

Wow that's an awesome sight to come upon at the J ❤️ L Ranch! Grandpa, Daisy and Duke grazing some tasty grass and being able to walk and run about free and easy. I knew that with you and Lester working together you two would get the trio back to their pasture area.
The horses are so beautiful, they are so free and enjoying every minute of it ❤ Lester will never learn, guess he never thought about the horses getting out… he was on a mission to find an odor…. You guys are the best, heard you’re going to set them up watering tubs for them cause their pond ugly… look at how they’re enjoying the grass … I’d bet you guys would adopt them too if you could .. ❤❤

I must say as beautiful as they are and sad it is that they are left to fend for themselves I don’t agree with the comments saying you should try to get them. Two intact males would be so crazy. They would need a lot of work from never having any care I’m sure which would be expensive. And two wild horses would be more dangerous than Rita is. An intact stallion would scare the heck out of me. Taking on 3 uncared for horses would be a huge thing to deal with. It’s so sad they are stuck in a landlocked pasture to fend for themselves. I don’t get what the point of having them is if he has no relationship with them and he isn’t breeding them to sell. It’s so sad! Would be a beautiful sight to see Kourtney rescue them and watch her work with them though. They are gorgeous horses! You two are such amazing people and always willing to help an animal or person in need. I love that so much about you guys ❤
