Gurkha Regiment has been mentioned only as a case. Garhwal Regiment also uses Khukri like Gurkhas

sudhir mudgal Please note that this is a rifle regiment and riflemen take offence if you term their unit as a just a regiment. It is Garhwal Rifles and not Garhwal Regiment.
Also, the name of this soldier is दिलवर सिंह and not दिलावर सिंह.

All people who love Indian Army must read the book 'military anecdotes' which had foreword from Olympic silver medalist Col RVS Rathore, Mos for I&B. It's a humorous book which makes you understand indian air force, army and navy in a lighter way. This is the least you can contribute for Indian military. Its an International book and expensive but if you can sacrifice your pizza, drinks or hotel dinner, you can buy it. A little cheaper book on indian military is ' ordered to laugh'.
