You poor thing. When I found out you'd be an alternate, I was also a bit bummed out.
You're able to run 11.3 pretty much automatic, so in relays, you're capable of going lower on the opening leg with a good handoff.
There is the issue of where to place you since you prefer straights. Lewis is obviously the anchor, so you as a starter would've been the logical option.
The Aussie start was okay in the opening heat, 3rd fastest in the heat, but by comparison, it was not enough to get past qualifying.
Torrie actually ran a somewhat slow anchor, which effectively killed you all since legs 1-3 were in 3rd place territory.
Because you have a good start and can consistently pull off 11.3, putting you at leg 1 may have been the go-to move. Also, Torrie just didn't have a great finish out there, nor Olympics in general. She was average or below average in all her races. Not sure what the deal was there.
I was a bit surprised Australia didn't even qualify for the final, but you are experienced and were left off the team, and based on the numbers and your strength it might have been good to have you start or anchor. We'll never know.
Hope to see you in Diamond League and at Worlds.

But honestly, it was kind of a sh!t decision by the coaches, and Australia paid for it.
      Let's keep it real.
Your experience would've helped. Nigeria and Germany and even the Netherlands I thought would be behind Australia, especially since Visser was not running any 4x100 legs for the Dutch.
No way to say for sure because Torrie wasn't strong but I think it was the wrong move and you would've been 1 or 2 with your start.

So random but how do you get ideas for TikTok? And do you plan out when you will post or just post when you want to?

@@laurencharltonn TikTok isn’t so much my forte. However I find consistency is key and just posting what ever and when ever you want usually is what attracts people to your page as it’s showing the real raw you

I'm sorry you weren't able to run. I hope that for the next Olympics you get to race. Never give up. Greetings from Puerto Rico.
