Mothballs are old myth. Plenty of videos that show snakes dont even try to stop when crossing thresholds of mothballs. Dont wast your money or have a false sense of security
I used to move houses. About a week before I had to crawl under the house, I would toss a t-o-n of mothballs under it to push out the snakes and spiders.
What about snakes? What will make them say ack no thanks and turn the other way? We live on a lake, I have cardboard laid in yard for garden area for weeds, buckets catching rainwater, etc... an oasis for them, but they scare me!
I have been going to try the mothballs but so many people say it’s just a myth and it doesn’t work. And they say someplace’s it is against the law because they are poison to a lot of animals and the environment. My sister live right on a lake and just got bitten this morning by a copperhead. And they have a serious snake problem at there house . What can they do
My best suggestion George if they can’t use mothballs-work on eliminating the snakes food source such as rats and rodents. Set rat traps or get a pest control company out there. Also try to keep the general area where they are going to be around trimmed and not overgrown. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Never heard of mothballs. I heard to lay a rope around you sleeping area and snakes won't cross it, of course I have my doubts on that one. Great tips.
Awesome video Full of good advice! We have Timber rattlers and copper heads around here, but I don't inquire them too often. Bears, coyotes and raccoons and the scariest ticks however are another story..I use Sage for mosquito, and it works brilliantly. I think, knowing your area and the types of x factors there are is huge Thanks for sharing! Have a blessed one my friend, may the forest be with you!
Guy makes a video about keeping snakes away. Girl who came face to face with big snake hanging from the roof comes looking for help. First thing girl sees is what, at first glance (or paranoia from hours before) is a snake around his neck 😅 ....OK, now I'll finish watching the video.
Really awesome tips. You are correct about the human element. We do the mothballs out out my moms place and I can tell ya I have never seen a snake around the house. Thanks for sharing.
Great advice for that area. Very good Creative ideas. Really smart channel name : ) I agree with Fire/sage and Firearm. Could you use cedar scented / Moth balls ?
