There were some roads being constructed back in 2012 as well. They were so bad with big pointy rocks all over the place so we took the off road paths that was running along side the future to be roads...... NO longer asfalt roads after like 50 kilometers outside Ulaanbaatar what so ever until we hit Ölgii. There were some short stretches of tarmac on the "main" road in some smaller villages but only 100 - 200 meters...... And noone we met in 2012 spoke English except of this one young girl in a small village somewhere..... The night before leaving Mongolia we stayed at this Mongolian military base for free in Tsagaannuur. They gave us food and everything. :)
Prepare yourself for one thing. When you´ve left Mongolia you will spend lots and lots of time talking about how much you miss the country. And that will continue for the rest of your lives most likely. It´s a totally unique country indeed with very friendly people living there. I want to go back. 🙏

I am sorry for complaining about Russia one of the most Evil country in the world, but I kept following you anyway and still enjoy your world trip. I wish you the best. Maybe a trailer bike will help you to carry more stuff, just an idea, Thank you, see you next video
It always seems too cold,hot,windy,wet on 2 wheels. Try heated vests, gloves. You could use your air mattress inside.
With all that riding and staving off colds Mongolian food good for you even if very sheepy.
Yeah I think from what have seen you have to keep the fire going even if that means getting up every 4hrs etc..
Life is very tough in these countries,middle east of Asia

Hey 👋😊 there are bathrooms outside! Just Google Mongolia toilet and you can see how they look like. We haven’t seen a shower and we’re actually just cooking our own stuff with our little camping cooker but I guess they have an extra Ger for the kitchen.

I'm not sure why you two aren't using your air mattress in the yurt. I think you both looked healthier/glowing after eating the meal and soup made of sheep/mutton. The fat in it contains calories that burn slower and keep you warmer. Beautiful scenery while riding on the bike. Excellent video, cool

Wow, that is pretty rugged weather. What about using your inflatable mattrass on those beds - pushing two beds together. Also, you are lucky they were not serving sheep testicles, which I believe is a ddlicacy there. You are doing well, in spite of it all.

I like a firm bed but maybe not that hard. Getting colder the Northern hemisphere is rolling on to winter. Every place uses firewood but I didn't see any trees on your ride today?

Yes you need nutritious food with much energy. Can be difficult to get that as vegetarian food especially on the road. Be careful with the pineapple drink. It’s not good to drink much of it.
