Hope you make it up to redding and fish the world famous fishery- sacramento river. Also just outside of it to the west on hwy 299 the Trinity River. And don't forget to stop at the whiskeytown lake lookout on the way. To the east on hwy 44 past lassen park you got hat creek. Awesome trout stream. Alot of fishing up here! Have fun! New sub here. New subscriber and loving the content so far. However, I have so many questions about the mountain cat. Where does he/she sleep when you are moving camp? Does it always come in at night? Does it get some fish, too? My wife and I need answers :)
Haha! Leo doesn’t stray too far from the camper. Everyone once in a while he stays out after dark. Sometimes he rides in the truck, but usually he rides on the camper on moving days. Thanks for watching!!
Enjoying your content even though I rarely fish fresh water While in CA you should try our ocean fishing good time to fish Channel Islands r n rockfish good chance for halibut maybe even the elusive White Sea bass you’ll really enjoy time on the salty ocean
Some places you should fish in California, hat creek near Cassel, Indian creek and antelope lake in lassen county, the susan river behind the high school, Hamilton branch off of lake almanor (try buffalo chips pizza while you are there). In Nevada the Carson river is great, I also like Thomas creek coming off the back of Mt. Rose. I would not fish Eagle Lake until the late fall winter time.
If you ever get to Oregon, check out a place called Cresent Lake. Caught a 5lb German Brown out of there on a Chartreuse and Black Panter Martin. Craine Praire Reservoir has some biggies as well as a lot of Deschutes Red Sides

Thanks for the idea of using a fly. I usually use a Panther Martin in the streams. Your in my neck of the woods....Time to get out there.
I love using a panther martin as well! But if a stream has any fishing pressure at all, a fly will get them everytime! Just use a weighted bobber!
