    Love that boat. It’s a toss up. Spend the money on an Animal Cat or settle for a Blackjack 42, not saying the BJ 42 isn’t a sweet boat. Hey what the wife doesn’t know… 🤣

    Good stuff big B appreciate your honest opinions always. About same speeds I was getting with my animal. Did about the same out of the box speed as my geico twin. The 100+ Rtr claim does require some serious work and tuning but if anyone can do it it’s definitely you. Stock zondas and geicos have also done over 100 with the right props and tune. Twins are fast! Also Teflon liners not recommended for 48k rpm, I had to take mine out after I smoked them. Boat gang!👍🏼

    The centering is nature of the beast with pull/pull, you can get it close but that tiny slop in cables is hard to get all of it out. I run a spring or zip tie from cable to cable at the servo arm to help keep tension on them.

    • @corsomike1
      @corsomike1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not so you just have to adjust correctly or run a solid link arm off servo to rudder . Ask me how I know . I used to race RC boats and all of mine would run dead nuts straight with no input

    • @Buellerwtfman
      @Buellerwtfman 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@corsomike1 yea, and I am talking about pull/pull which this has. If you swapped it to a solid link then the entire conversation about taking up the slack in the cables would not be happening lol.

    • @corsomike1
      @corsomike1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Buellerwtfman my good sir, your comment is painfully obvious of course you would not use both my points being that if you adjusted the cable pull - pull system it would work as designed and not have slop in the steering. Been there done that like 25 years ago ...

      found the leak super simple fix, remove the stinger base and post base, lay down some sealant then reassemble. Mine was only leaking around the post area but decided to seal up everything while I hade it apart...

    I bought my cf pursuit and had to go through the whole boat before it even touched the water. Spend a few minutes before or spend a lot later in my opinion. As far as the servo i got a bad servo that did the same as yours is. I bought two. One was just bad. It happens. And they were 35mg servos.bg4l

      I recently got the cf pursuit Without the self righting and all I can say is definitely get it. I have flipped it 2xs but that was jumping boat wakes. It is stable, and fast. Well built. But like the animal you have to go through it. Mine came with a 180 seaking and a sss 1650kv 4082 v2 motor. It's awesome.

  • @RogallaMarineRC

    The rudder isn’t finding center because low profile servos don’t have anywhere near the torque, also usually pricier. I had to convert mine to a full size servo laying down. That may solve your steering issues. Can’t wait to see what you do with it👍🏼

    • @IRONCLADRC

    Nice vid..BUT.....Bill says.."Our Animal Twin Cat RTR proved it could go 109 mph (175 kph) BONE STOCK!! That makes it the FASTEST RTR R/C boat in the world!"
    Was he driving down the highway at the time?

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Stock Electronics, with a prop change and the right tune. 109mph is fast, and at that speed, all the weather conditions need to be just right, im easing my way Into this boat, taking my time. there's no need to rush anything

    • @peteroosterhoff8850
      @peteroosterhoff8850 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's exactly why people respond to all these statements. Fastest rtr, quality second to none, best in industry, can't build one for that money etc, i've read them..
      I know for a fact you can buy another factory build boat (but not full rtr/minus esc's, props, radio, which most people want to choose themselves anyway) that will outrun this boat.

    That is so different to me to Loctite all the screws, in all the years i have been running boat's i have never Loctite a single screw and have never had one come loose. so how odd is that? i can see the advantage to doing some of the screws but some of them think it is not necessary and would be such of a hassle having to heat them up to get loose.

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Opposite thinking for me, screwes screwed into aluminum have a tendency to back out when not baked by nylon. I'd say 80% of the screws on this boat aren't supported by a loc-nut. Why take the chance losing original nuts and bolts is my thinking.
      I run boats daily, I also have thousands of people watching and critiquing my every move, so I tend to play things safe. i run all my boats with loc-tite, even my small boats.

Not everyone can drive or Wants to drive a 100mph boat. B will Simply do a prop change with some of our props he Already has and be Right in the 100MPH game.
