What a great interview, what are her expansion goals, she can utilise a number of unused schools in the townships to expand and share her teachings and develop our kids.
Okay okay hear me out. I think black investors should look into gentrifying townships. But in a way where it’s by us, for us deal. When black South Africans get that job they move out of the township. But imagine building safe, secure, luxury homes, estates, malls, restaurants, schools, private schools, parks etc, just a fully functioning economy booming with business, class and luxury in the townships? We can do it like India did. Then investors wanted to build where there were slums. The government asked those investors to build free housing to relocate those ppl living in slums. So investors would build “section 8” like buildings/houses in a different location. 1) this will bring black rands back into the community, building our own azanya. 2) impoverished black ppl living in slums get to have real homes with running water etc. 3) it forces the shift of economic apartheid to shift from black educated, black skilled, black entrepreneurs to stop reaching out and dipping to white economy and actually feed and grow its own economy and its own privilege and its own community
In SA you don't need an invitation to attend a(traditional) wedding. Everyone in the community is invited by word of mouth. You could be passing by and see a tent and just enter, get a plate of food and dance with everyone 😁
Thank you for your much needed skills and contribution to SA's education system, Lord knows how much we need more of this to help the new generation coming up. My husband and I really loved today's show. You always have something so interesting going on that we can't help but tune in.
I love the work that Waahida and her husband are doing for Alexandra with the Academy. It is very inspiring and provides tremendous support to SA. Keep up the good work! Thanks Rickey for sharing the Academy with us.
The leveraging of Black American skills and innovation coupled with South African skills and innovation has enormous potential for the continent. Wakanda Forever!!!
Shout out to Thulani, her husband. He brought SA a gem 💎. I love her So Much... Wow!!! What a human, what a journey. God bless you, your family, and Keep going. I mean KEEP GOING HARD!!! On your amazing work 🤞🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇿🇦🇿🇦
We need to teach our children Entrepreneurship and become a employer to close the wealth gap amongst us black people world wide.Thank you for sharing this valuable video.
Can you imagine if she would have said NO to Thulani? How many destinies would have been deprived of the opportunity to become who they were born to be? This interview is beyond the mainstream media in terms of calibre, depth and quality.
Black Americans get it all the time guys. When they move in they blend in society so well. They find ways to uplift and add value. This is magical about AAs community. Others take take take snd want to replace us and compete in our spaces with clear intentions of tramping on us and take over. And then call us lazy and entitled bunch. 😢 Thank you AA community for this.
So true, that's the reason I love African Americans, they are such an inspiring people, dynamic, always got something to talk about, the American, "can do attitude", very outgoing people and always encouraging. I remember meeting the first AA ever in 1993, Johannesburg. He was from Chicago,Illinois. I was in high school then. It was as if, I met an uncle that I have not seen in years. He encouraged to focus on my education, etc. they are such as inspiring people to always be around and their affirmation to Blackness. You become sold and unapologetic about who you are as a black person.
@@ThomasThatelo You hardly find them trying to take over or judgmental on Black South Africans. They are always empathetic and sympathetic about our struggles. The others, they seek to replace and steal all the time.
Very humbling to see Black American lady blended so well into our culture as for that wearing “isiphandla”. That’s another level and very smart and grounded. God bless with ur school in Alex.🙏👏🇿🇦
Please find one of the Kingdoms in the country and visit, just for learning and getting deeper understanding, trust me it will be a humbling experience and worth it...

Hello Waahida, This is a very good interview. Very educational. I am grateful to God for all of His Blessings in the accomplishments in your life. May the Lord continue to bless you and your family.
I listened to this woman's interview five years ago, and I'm glad that she remains consistent in what she has been doing. This is what Africa wants African Americans to come and do in Africa, rather than coming to Africa to tell us how bad America is and how they think Africa is not welcoming them. This is an excellent interview, and the way this woman composed herself and articulated her points is how African Americans ought to act in Africa. African Americans on social media nowadays are portraying themselves as entitled, full of drama, combative, unwilling to learn the ways of life in Africa, and thinking that Africa owes them free citizenship without having to follow the law and due process. Of course, this woman's level of acculturation was enhanced by being married to a South African, but it's just a perfect example that there are more silent African Americans doing well in Africa than the annoying and provocative ones creating drama on social media.
This is great initiative from black Americans. If they can invest in Africa, then Africa will be saved. Please do these across Africa. Build proper schools.
Our beautiful sister, congratulations on your traditional wedding. You are now fully part of the family and in terms of tradition no one has the right to tell you otherwise even if your husband passes you remain an integral part of the clan. The real traditional wedding can be almost foreign even to us Zulu people who grew up in the cities, in families that left the rurals a long time ago and left much of the culture behind. Big ups to you sis!!
What a great woman with a powerful story. I remember watching her interview on the Blanton's channel back in the day. I enjoyed this interview, salute fam.
the reason why there is always a male is because if father is absent there is uncles or community males that raised the child....hence the expectation that there be a male to receive the welcome for the bride
Hey fello Riky, please get in touch with Yolanda Methvin (formerly Busbee) who has been living in Cape Town since the 90s. She considers Cape Town her home since 1998.
This was a beautiful interview!! So many great nuggets! I ❤ that Waahida made the choice to remain in Alex and it means alot that she and staff send their own children to the school as well.
