Cass Scenic Railroad: Greenbrier Express 6-18-2023.
After the Parade of Steam, we came back to Cass to see the brand-new Greenbrier Express excursions. This excursion replaced the Durbin Rocket excursion with an entire trip all the way from Cass to Durbin. This year would mark the first time a train would power itself all the way from Cass to Durbin since 1985.
Power the days trip was Cass Scenic Railroad's Shay #4, and the consist would consist of a railroad post office car, and three four-axle heavyweight coaches.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of Shay #4 as she is powering one of the most historically significant train trips of 2023!

Some of the tracks on the Durbin line are really wobbly and rough, but that's no problem for the Shays!

We road the Cass Greenbrier Express on 06/08/2023. It was well worth the time we spent on the train. We wouldn’t mind doing it again.
