I have a 356 X v2.
I upgraded from a Cyclone Boys Fei Wu which I had since 2014. So going to a New Generation cube, I was REALLY taken back by the smooth turning.
I've had my X v2. since early Feb. It is an amazing cube. To me, it's got the weight of the X and the turning feel of the XS. It's my best buy ever, and I'm glad to have watched such a positive review.
Before the v2. was released, I was thinking of getting an X and XS and core-swapping them. But thanks to the v2. I didn't have to do that.
My GAN356 X V2 came yesterday! And it is a smooth and fast cube highly customizable and I recommend it to everyone! 😄

I literally own every stickerless Gan cube and this is my favorite. It's so smooth, fast, and stable. It's really difficult to beat the Gan X magnet system, which is why I just don't like the 356 XS as much. I don't change magnets that much (or at all after setting up the cube), so I just don't see real benefit to the XS' magnet system and I don't think the XS magnets work as well (regardless of the setting).
That being said, I really don't like the direction Gan is going with their tension system. The 354M v2, 356 RS (R v2), and especially the rather pricey 356i and 356i Play all have really inferior and limiting 2-option tension systems. So, it's really good to see that in this new round of cubes, Gan is still willing to put the XS tension system in the new X v2. I would like to think they did it because it's $60 cube, but then they put that lousy 2-option tension system in their most expensive cube ($80 356i). They really should just put the XS tension system in all their v2/new cubes.
the xs magnet system works it only depends on the alignment of the magnet
Is the gan x v2 smoother then the original x?
@Alex Groff again, I pretty much don't change my magnets after setting it up, so the sliding magnets of the XS are a potential nuisance (some magnets changing their position). The XS magnets also aren't as strong, so if you like stronger magnets, you pretty much out of luck.
@@i0bz I know how it's supposed to work, but I just don't see it doing that 100% because the XS magnets in any of the three positions are simply not as strong as the clear (strongest) magnets of the X and X v2. Plus, how many people change magnet settings on a whim that the feature needs to be so accessible all the time? After trying all the X magnets once, I put in the clear (strongest) ones and haven't touched them since. Same with the X v2. I have had problems with some of my XS slider magnets changing positions on me. That simply doesn't happen with the X or X v2 magnets.
@@CubingTube Yes, for me it is. I would also rate the original X as smoother than the XS. I do like the XS, but I just like the X and especially the X v2 better.

AliExpress cubes are pretty cheap and I think some sellers there are way more reliable than cubezz. I personally buy my cubes from LiangCubes on AliExpress but it's not the only good shop there.

How i set up my Gan X V2 was with gravitas for the tracks of an edge, put gravitas on 2 edges break it in with like 3 solves, then dignitas on the sidewall of an edge, break in with 25 solves, then put 1 drop of dnm, which made it a little to fast for me so I put 1 drop of compound x in the cube. I set up the core with no lube(yet), the light blue piece on 1, and the tension nut on 2.

Yes please a comparison of valk elite vs gan x v2. I ended up bottom buying the valk elite and I don't like it. I should have gotten the gan x v2. Anyone think the gan x v2 being better then valk?

Hi as you know I have a GAN X IPG v5 but Ipgv5 has some props I believe the gan x Ipgv5 and the gan x V2 is the same size so instead of wasting my money buying another gan x V2 is it possible to replace the GAN X IPG v5 core with a GAN X v2 as it has a lighter core and it's the xS core it's simple is this possible and if it's possible where can I get the core.

i have the gan x v2, if u want a stable and quiet, go for tengyun. gan cubes are unstable but i dont know about tengyun

Wait, You can then make a X v2 by taking the xs that you have and taking the pieces and put it on. Then take the x core and taking the pieces of the xs and rebuild it
