Buying an old car means having to deal with old car problems. Dodge that bullet and just get yourself a diorama of the real thing (I'm partially joking... but not really haha). Jokes aside, this scene from the iconic anime, Initial D, is a quality showpiece with lots of fine detail! The Fujiwara tofu shop is in full display and the legendary AE86 even has show-accurate interior and lights! 8.6/10 would definitely recommend.

Honestly I only driven my Trueno 2 days because I had to get it on the bodyshop before inspection but it was lovely, it's an amazing car and very comfortable
Glad yours is comfortable and drives well! Definitely a major throwback to a different era... nothing new really drives like these old things. My goal is really to give some insight to younger folks who think the AE86 (and old cars in general) are carefree fun like new cars. It's easy to overlook this fact when obsessing over these cars from behind a screen.
For the sound you need to press on the hood of the car, if you open the doors it will make a beeping noises like if it had an alarm, the horn is not accurate, engine sound is sounding like a V8 engine at high RPMs, it's not a very accurate AE86, which is sad, also the logo is on the passenger door which is not accurate, but the diorama itself is beautiful
oh, very cool! Thanks for sharing. I was able to get the car door and alarm beeping sounds to play, but no engine noise or anything. It's a great showpiece and sits on my back shelf now. 😁
