Great review mate. i was blown away by how fast and accurate the autofocus was with this lens. I know the panasonic autofocus is terrible, but in this test it didn't hunt much.
Yeah i was pretty surprised too!
I love this lens
hi im currently using 60d canon. but planning to move to mft because of stabilization for run and gun shooting on handheld, better sharpness and smaller compact camera easy to carry around. because im tired caryying around monopod especially during special events when its kinda took long time to move from monopod to flycam/gimbal. do you think its good? im planning to get g85 with 14-42 lens because thats the only camera with kit that suits my budget. do you think its kinda miss moving from aps-c to mft? since i always love to shoot scene bokeh for more cinematic, i realize that panasonic have 25mm 1.7 but when converting to 35mm focal length and dof do you think its good enough? i dont really mind about autofocus since i prefer manual focus, on gimbal seems no problem as well for autofocus since its able to tap focus or using focus wheel on gimbal. so i would like to know your opinion since im planning to change my camera very soon. thanks
Hey! Just to let you know. You do not multiply aperture when comparing to full frame. Aperture is a part of golden triangle in that case you would have to multiply also shutter speed and ISO. This 1.2 lesn... Period. When comparing bokeh to full frame it is the same as on 42mm 1.2.
Focal length is equal to 85mm on full frame, and the bokeh will look like a f2.4 on that
Omg you just change my world. Tell me more
You don’t multiply the f stop for exposure’s sake, but in terms of bokeh, a 1.2 on a MFT is not equivalent to a 1.2 on a full frame, hence why we multiply.
It’s because the crop factor means you have to use a shorter focal length to achieve the same fov as a ff camera, and as we know, shorter focal lengths result in more depth of field or less bokeh.
The most 85mm lenses in ff are 1.8
Yes but this is for micro four thirds system.
you drive a Peugeot 508
hi, is that the equivalent of 2.4 a full-frame lens? reference:

thank you.
Yes
