Oroville Dam was in my home town! The evacuation was TERRIFYING!
This is why everyone should fear Mother Nature because a simple giant lake of water can be an entire disaster

Moral of the story, don't live down flow of a dam.
Shorebreak waves: When discussing the waves in Hawaii, a segment is shown of a woman counting people in a large wave. That segment was actually shot in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, at the very southern end of Baja California.
maybe a part 2 can look at some historical flooding disasters, like the dutch North Sea flood of 1953. a disaster that showed how powerful water can be, it led to the Netherlands making waves (pun very much intended) in flood prevention afterwards.
Yes, I was half expecting a mention during this video. Certainly worth a listing!
@@Judith_Remkes I'd love for them to make that part 2
Me: I want hot chocolate
Water: NO YOU DONT YOU WANT WATER

crazy how a stream can be taller than the leaning tower of pizza
Basically the river turned on its side where it becomes The Strid.
27:44 You missed the chance to say “Never judge a brook by its cover.”
Water is so darn powerful. I hope I never get stuck in a flash flood. Flash mobs only.
Love these type of vids, with real life vids and pics. Instead of just animations. Thanks
The level of research here is commendable, great job!
Doctor "Water can safe lives"
Water "Really what if a dan got out of control "
Doctor "It is rare "
Everyone "Bruh"
You spelled dam wrong and you meant to put ''saves"
A couple of months ago, roadworks at a roundabout on a hill near me burst a water main. They placed a digger’s bucket on top to stop the spout going upwards, but it took almost 3 weeks to be fixed, flooding all the roads leading downwards for almost a month.
water that can level landscapes is truly AMAZING
Huge shoutout to beamazed to give us this flood disaster video

Back in 2016 West Virginia had a 1,000 year flood, on June 23 to the 24 flooding occurred in West Virginia

Fun fact. The "extreme wets", the tyres used in F1 and other formulas (though the figures my vary according to the brands), can - when the track is particularly wet - shift enough water to fill *_12_* bathtubs in *_1_* second!
Glad to see another video from Be Amazed! The first 2 looked devastating, Damn!
Your the only "person" that makes history very interesting
Bruh why's views droppin hard?

You forgot to tell us about the Fukushima Daiichi accident, also caused by the huge tsunami.

just imagine the people who died here. so sad ):
Water is probably the strongest or most dangerous element. What's ironic is that there are so many ways it can kill you, yet you need it for survival.
Hi

The last clip with the waves coming through the restaurant windows reminded me of when I was about 13. My parents and I were having dinner at a restaurant called The Sea Lion that was located off Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). There was a strong storm coming in from offshore and the tide looked high. The waves were crashing down about 30ft from the back window seating of the restaurant and then rolling in and hitting the glass hard. Looking back I can't believe they were even open, let alone allowed us to sit right next to those windows. They could have shattered at any time. I guess I should have mentioned that this was in the late 70s, when things like that happened pretty regularly. It should be called "Life Before Lawsuits", or "When People Took Accountability For Their Own Actions"! LOL
"I wouldn't be filming, I'd be running away."
Hell, they filmed AND did a head-count. Those moms are professional multitaskers 😂
Oh and tsunamis... those scare the pee-pee out of me. I've heard if you're standing on a beach and suddenly the water gets sucked out to sea... exposing huge amounts of the shore... RUUUUUUNNNN
19:19 what? 80ft is 2.2m? but..1ft is30cm? 80*30=2400cm, there are 100cm in a meter, so it would be 24m.. or have i forgotten math completely?🙈😮
Miss those spooky jokes 😢
True story: my friend invited me to Florida for her dance lesson. I went with her. I was only supposed to be there 5 days but ended up being 2 weeks. How? BEVAUSE of hurricane Idalia.
Hello Be Amazed. I have been a subscriber for years , love your channel! Cool stuff. I was wondering, I have some short videos about strange animals I found in my neighborhood. I would love to send a short video to you to feature in an episode maybe. Can you let me know ?

As a Brazilian, when he said Córrego de Feijão, I laughed a little at the pronouncing 😅
28:20 Says "No one was hurt". I think that lady standing outside the door would disagree. She to slammed into that door so hard the door came off it's hinges, landed on top of her, and she and the door went under the water. By the looks of it, the glass window broke on top of her, too. If she walked away from that with absolutely zero injuries I'll eat my hat.
what makes water so dangerous is being relentless. rivers always flow, and people dont consider the river doesnt get tired like you will fighting the current.
Well, i love your videos, but all the cubic feet of water juste can't be aprehended by human though
This reminds me I was recently at the beach and I waded into the water, there was a wave that I thought wouldnt submerge me, guess what? it did and I was submerged, it was powerful enough to make me flip in the water, I thought I was going to die
lol
this video is incomplete without Barmuda tringle and Land of rivers 'Bangladesh'
You actually showed the Grand Canyon that is crazy I even live in Arizona and there's less water😢
much like people who live next to active volcanos or people who live inside tornado alley... why live next to or near a dam?
