1999 Evinrude FICHT 150 hp 3 Light Salute.

1999 Evinrude FICHT 3 Light Salute. After running, when shut down and restart is attempted, the lights go through check sequence and then 3 of them flash. Engine will not start when this happens. After 5 min to as long as an hour or more, it will not start until it tests properly.

Check the EMM, it's getting hot most likely. From what I have read the hoses can fill with dirt.

The problem has not been solved. EMM was checked out by MCS, Changed Regulator Rectifier, still not solved.

Like the fellas said above emm is overheating , there is a youtube video on how to do a water bypass fix so the emm is getting constant water flow through it if the canister plugs up !

Did by pass sent emm 1000$ still 3 flashing lights took out thermostat overheating lights came on went away and rev's 2200 rpms till it warms up lot weird stuff going on garbage motor
