As always from Make Noise, innovating and amazing! Spent about 5 days with it, and it's an incredible filter!! One thing I think that goes overlooked is that this can also be used as a dual-mono filter as well. I've also found immense fun in self-patching the QPAS.
No joke this might be the coolest modular filter I've ever seen. What a fucking trip listening with headphones on and hearing those filter sweeps pan the left and right sides so musically

The pingable range seems more nuanced than a lot of filters. The space between short pings and full oscillation is usually so short

Love the MMG, but this sounds a lot different to me and being able to FM it is really important for my uses.

OK, question for MakeNoise - the smile pass, is that in any way similar to an all pass? And as such could this thing work as a stereo phaser - if you blend with the dry signals, have different radiate settings for each channel, and/or modulate the two radiate inputs with separate LFOs? The sound I'm hearing potential for here is the amazing stereo filtering thing that goes on in Vainqueur's Elevations tracks e.g. th-cam.com/video/DGTIrwVZ_rM/w-d-xo.html

I don’t understand in what way it is state variable? Can I sweep between LP-BP... etc in some way?
A state variable filter has multiple outputs available simultaneously from the same core. On the QPAS there are four stereo pairs all simultaneously available. If you want to sweep between them you could use a voltage-controlled crossfade such as X-PAN. The MMG, which we no longer make but should still be obtainable, has a Mode control that "sweeps" between low pass and high pass under voltage control.

Does the resonance allow for self oscillation? Or is it possible with feedback patching?
It does not self-oscillate, by design. This allows more fine control over pings etc.
