God last minute crocheting, i feel that! I once made a dragon for a birthday and was still sewing on the wings on the drive!
I was making a fairy for my niece I had to drive so I just glued the wings on. I had to tell a 6 year old to be very gentle with her at first because it was still wet.😂

Stayed up until 3am for a baby shower gift once. Another time I sewed on the details while at church because I needed it immediately after
omg i literally finished sewing together a cardigan for my mom’s Christmas present on Christmas morning and had to throw it in the dryer at my mom’s house to finish drying while the other presents were being opened lol it was a success though

I feel like doing something like this past minute before my wedding would help me chill out as I would probably get rlly nervous and instead I would be focusing on finishing the lamb
Hahah it definitely kept me from getting nervous but also it was very overwhelming and It wouldn’t let me be fully present in the moment as well 🥲
If you’re an anxious person like I am or have kids I wouldn’t recommend, I cried for days after because not only did I not finish my stuff for my wedding I also didn’t finish the take home stuff people were supposed to leave with. It was a home wedding so I felt it was done too last minute (I was planning it for over 6 months and because of finances everything was super up in the air)😭😭 7 months later I’m barely mailing people their stuff. I seriously debated quitting crocheting because I felt like a big fraud and couldn’t believe none of it was done yet. 😭😭 please don’t do that to yourself unless you know you have help like the original poster. 😅
@@grooves555 aw I'm sorry ot didn't work out as you planned :( Honestly wedding stuff is time-consuming enough without making handmade gifts, please don't beat yourself up for not finishing in time 😢 And after the deadline and it being connected to those negative emotions, no wonder it's not going fast. Anyway I hope you won't let this experience take away your passion for crocheting, and good luck ❤❤❤

A lot of people don't bother with the garter toss anymore tbh there's just no point (and it feels a bit creepy but I dunno if that's just me?) Adorable sheep toss however, now that's something I would definitely fight everyone to catch lmao.

@@ProGamer-gq1ox it's the /garter/ toss, not the bouquet toss. The groom takes the bride's garters off and tosses it to the crowd. It's creepy because both the practice and the origins involve voyeuristic connotations and many people have children attending their wedding reception.
@@ProGamer-gq1oxthe garter is like an elastic that goes up the thigh of the bride. The bride sits in a chair in front of the best men and other men. Then groom usually reaches up the dress and makes a show of pulling it out of her leg then they toss it for the men to catch it. So yeah it could be very uncomfortable tradition for the bride. 😅 also I’ve never seen one in person, I think it just dying out. People just toss the flowers now days for everyone to catch or the men don’t catch anything at all
@@kay-jay1581I’ve only seen one too and it was uncomfortable to watch 😭 obviously the bride didn’t feel uncomfortable but like it just felt awkward to stand around and watch it. Def not gonna happen at my wedding

Pretty sure it’s this weird thing where the groom goes under the bride’s dress, takes a garter off of the bride’s leg, and then throws it to the men at the wedding. Weird ass tradition 😭
Thankfully, we didn't have many single people at our wedding, so we didn't do that, or the bouquet toss. 😅

But a garter belt (not an actually useful one, just an elastic strap, it started out using a real one back when they used them in daily life) pretty much just gets sexily pulled down the bride's leg by the groom using nothing but his teeth and then it's flung at the single men like the bouquet is at the single women
It's weird and so out of place and it's uncomfortable every time I see one. Luckily, they've been getting less and less popular

Last minute is so stressful and I've been there. Was finishing a baby blanket for a friend and crocheted from Placer County to San Diego, CA. It was about a 12 hr. drive. Crocheted the whole time my hubby drove and actually gave myself blisters. Last time doing that. We were in a semi & couldn't drive into the part of town where the "friend" lived 10-15 min away. We didn't know till we got down there. She hadn't had the baby yet. We asked her if she could meet us due to restrictions and she said "Nope sorry I am having s friend come by in an hr and a half ". Was very hurt. She had alao asked us to bring a huge box 25lb. of Arbonne samples I purchased as She was selling it and I was not. We had to stay overnight so we were there the whole evening. She couldn't be bothered.😢

This is a great cure for wedding day jitters, it gives your hands something to do and distracts your mind from creating anxiety a bit, (except ofc if you actually need it for your wedding in three minutes and you’re wearing a lot of nail jewelry… but still better to worry about that than walking down the aisle imo)
