Harrow only gets weirder you gotta just go with and Nona blew my mind and is still weird but makes a lot of sense and clicks so many things in place. Also the audios are incredible if you have access to them at all. I love the lil sheepie on your desk 🐑

Your journey with the Lost Metal had me in stitches!!! Sanderson’s humour often misses the landing. I honestly don’t remember much about the Lost Metal but I remembered wanting to get it over with asap 😂😂😂 I just finished the Sunlit Man (meh) and I also fear the future of the Cosmere 🫣 I’m so glad you were enjoying Gideon the Ninth! One of my favourite series! But, yes it’s SO confusing with all the characters and houses. The audiobook really helped me. I tried reading the Book the Broke the World, twice, and had to put it down. I’m going to wait until the 3rd book comes out
At least the Sunlit Man was better than the Lost Metal! But I agree it was pretty meh. I'm sure my brain will try to block out all my memories of it as well. But hopefully I'll remember the important bits for the Cosmere, or otherwise why did I read it lol 🙃
I finished The Familiar... I was thinking 3.5... but I feel that's too much... I am sorry you had to force yourself to read a thing. That sounds awful. I'm not a fan of toilet humor either.
Well done for finishing The Familiar! At least you enjoyed it more than I did the Lost Metal :P Was there something about The Familiar that you ended up loving, even if you didn't love it overall? I only give 3.5 if there was SOMETHING special in there.
@paperback_cat I'm not sure, I think 🤔 it was the banter between Santangel & Luzia, and some of the magic. But I think...my rating is more a 3.25... I just... I think I've given Bardugo a second chance after Hell Bent, and was hoping it would be closer to a 4... I may be done with this author... Abercrombie calls... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
