People need to have respect for property even when it's abandoned. Has it stops others from filming at these places. Asbestos is very serious to health yet people still don't wear the right equipment and clothing.
This is my kind of urban exploration. Nice overview of the property and no inane chit chat or observations. Beautiful old place and it does seem like a good restoration project.

What a beautiful film. I have heard of the place, although I never realised that it was empty. The condition of the interior is extraordinary. I hope that it is planned to remove the asbestos and restore life to this wonderful Victorian 'Gothic' building. It would be heartbresking if it were to be vandalized.
It's been empty for some time the old guy living there died a few years back now. It is an incredible building and mostly in great condition, fortunately, it now extremely secure with 24h security (which is why I thought it safe to now upload) as I too would be mortified if it were to become vandalised... Thanks for watching 😃
Abandoned Isle of Wight thank you, yes it is mainly in excellent condition. 'The Old Dude' Major Coventry spent a great deal of money and effort keeping it up - a small fortune was spent on the tower and north facade - and it really makes me angry when people talk as though it was neglected and allowed to fall down. Personally doubt the new people will do much in the short term
Thankyou, Sir for a lovely tour of this abandoned castle. It's magnificent. The architecture is so beautiful. I could have watched this all night:-) The music you have put to this video is also beautiful. Although I don't mind some communication as long as it's relevant to what they are exploring. Amazing video! Me and the people I work for actually cleared out a load of furniture before it was sold that all went to Henry Adams auctions in Chichester. It was an amazing place and the furniture that came out was amazing and had so much history to it. I never saw the swimming pool though as we wasn't aloud down to the basement due to the asbestos.

Abandoned Isle of Wight yeah some of the furniture we took our dated back to the 1800s.. also there was a rolls Royce sitting in the barn but that went after our 4th visit. One of the security guards that was staying there at the time we went told us that late and night he could hear foot steps and doors closing... 😳
This is not a medieval castle. It was built in 1799 for one thing. For another it lacks anything that looks like feasible battlements, while there are big windows on the ground floor. This is a manor house made to look (a little) like a medieval castle.
My God that is beautiful! I was sitting here waiting for ladies in ball gowns and gentlemen in top hats and tuxedos after being announced at the top of the stairs to come walking arm and arm down the stairs to sweep the ladies on their arms into a waltz!

Castles are sold relatively cheap these days, mostly because the renovation and maintenance costs are through the roof - Especially if the building is listed and needs replacements specially manufactured.

What a beautiful old place. The piano, sheet music, book cases still containing a few volumes, all made me think of a video game: use the sheet music to pick out the proper tune on the piano, which in turn reveals the next clue.
