Thank you for these interesting insights.
However, as long as there is some kind of avoidance of escalation it seems that that really is not addressing the underlying problem which is the Iranian regime’s goal of destroying Israel.
Surely strategy has to be focused on removing this threat rather than avoiding short and medium term ‘escalations’.
Where are we on the big picture?

Yes, one of the reasons they're in this situation is because they periodically deal with the symptoms of the problem, not the underlying cause.

@@craigb4913 Yes, either some people are trying to avoid an 'escalation of the symptoms' rather than deal with Iran or there is some sort of plan that has something to do with timimg. I'm hoping it is the latter but exerience tells us that we can't be complacently sure about that.
