Would you like a train collapsing inches away from your café too?
Just starting to get into this 'dark country' genre and as a lifelong metal head, I gotta say I'm loving this stuff. Bad assery
I was a metal head many years myself. Pantera was my biggest band and anyone that surrounded them. But then again they are from Texas and that's where I was growing up and old in...so yeah. I'm becoming obsessed with this album. It's definitely magic.
53 metal head, finally music i can listen with my old chums. dont get me wrong hank will always king, john and waylon his princes.
Metal robs the soul,
Bluegrass heals the soul,
Ll.craft me too 😂 it's been metal all the way, but when I hit 41,things started to change I think I'm mellowing in my old age, I've been digging some blues and jazz also check out Tommy Shelby's it's some badass shit right there also, anyway have a great day my friend from Sydney Australia

This is like a love song to Clint Eastwood. Pale Rider, Josey Wales, and Fistful of Dollars.
Unforgiven, A Few Dollars More opens with a gambling scene, High Plains Drifter ends with him leaving in the morning and I forget the dwarf's name, but he asks, "I never knew your name?"
Gorgeous.
I love Clint eastwood
I met Clint Eastwood. We shook hands and just said hello, n parted ways. @ hearts of darkness premier in Westwood CA.
John B that was my brief encounter with him, too.
For real! SO many people missed that!
This song has Clint Eastwood written all over it. "Pale Rider" is a fantastic movie.
Many people don´t know this and haven´t see that fantastic movie.
I have that movie, and the good, the bad, and the ugly, both on DVD. Action westerns that continue to withstand the test of time to this very day.
And "Dying ain't a way to make a living" is from Josey Wales. The "Man with No Name" is what they call Clint's westerns.
Good homage to Eastwood.
If I understand this song right, the man is going on one last job, and knows it will cost him his life. He doesn't want his daughter to get the idea that if she kills herself after his death, she'll be reunited with him in the afterlife.
It's a good interpretation if looking at the victims of the pale rider, but overall the song is a love letter to Clint eastwood (the name of the song coming from the film "pale rider" and "the man with no name" being the "name" of Clint Eastwoods character in "the good, the bad and the ugly", "a fistful of dollars" aswell as "a few dollars more "
The Overwatch character by the name of Cole Cassidy has a really good taste in music.

Ride to town, shoot them up and keep on going
Cause I got a job to do and I don't stop for no one
So get your gun, and kiss your wife, and lock up your daughter
Don't let her fall in love with the pale rider.
Many men 've quickly found I'm unforgiving.
They say dying ain't no way to make a living
So get your gun and bet your life, if you're a gambler
You draw a dead man's hand against the pale rider
And I walked down into Mexico
What I came for I think you know
I take another life, it's all the same It's one more killing to the man that has no name
So ride to town, shoot em up and keep on going
Cause I got a job to do and I'll be gone come morning
Get your gun, and kiss your wife and hug your daughter
Tell her you're off to meet the pale rider
Don't let her fall in love with the pale rider

I can't count the number of times I've listened to this track. A few months ago I drove by myself to Montana to lay my grandfather to rest, and I have a playlist of dark country along with several others, for when the radio cuts out on the road. Montana's mountains and prairies told me to replay this track over and over and I couldn't say no. Lots of people came here for a video game; I came here to remember Jerry, the Blue-Eyed Injun, the Man Who Helped Build Poulson.
Montana makes all music personal! Sorry about our grandfather. Cherish the memories.
I dont see why coming here from a video game is a problem. The people still love and respect the song no matter how they found out about it. Deep condolences for your grandfather.
What videogame? I came here from more dark country
I'm headed to Montana in the morning. Would welcome suggestions

ECHO AND MCCREE
This thing casts goosebumps upon my spine. Chilling and beautiful.
It's high noon somewere in the world
BTW, the 'pale rider' is the last rider of the apocalypse, AKA death
Death, the Last Rider of the Apocalypse, was also the inspiration for the movie PALE RIDER, starring and directed by Clint Eastwood, who was perhaps most famous for his role as THE MAN WITH NO NAME in the "Dollars" trilogy, a series of gunslinging adventures taking place DOWN IN MEXICO. Clint Eastwood in his role as the Outlaw Josie Wales, also told a bounty hunter that "DYING AINT NO WAY TO MAKE A LIVING boy". Josie Wales was my second favorite Eastwood role.. my most favorite Eastwood role was that of Willian Munney in the film UNFORGIVEN.. He played an aged and seemingly reformed gunfighter who had A JOB TO DO, the job of killing these two traveling cowboys on account of they cut up a young whore's face one night in a saloon altercation. Classics, all of them! Films and characters that other artists would pay homage to for years and years to come!
Clint Eastwood is one of most beautiful man on Earth, imho.
As If Aye Mate you ever see death, he’s turn a straight man gay
Behold, the pale horse...and the man who rides him is death...and Hell followed with him!
As if this statement I'm about to make is bad, but... now I have to go binge watch some Clint Eastwood and feel ever older and more grateful to know exactly how much he made those characters timeless... ah well, at least my next day is planned :).
excellent song. this is country music.
It's rather folk, isn't it?
I'd say it's a bit of both, but some people seem to get rather offended when you accuse a country song of being folksy.
