- This week we start off in Edinburgh.s Holyrood Park where we do a good deed with a spot of volunteering. Next we take a walk up the High Street to buy some art..
Yes, art.. our walls at home desperately need another puffin :)
And finally we visit the ancient pagan site of Dunino Den, with its well and altar, and dark tales of human sacrifice.
Oh, there's probably an old church and graveyard in there somewhere too.
A huge thank you to everyone who's supported our wee channel so far, if you'd like to help support our wee adventures you can do it through through our Ko-Fi or Patreon.
All our videos are hand made from 100% organic ingredients ;). Our content is mostly filmed on a GoPro 11 with a Rode fluffy microphone to keep the wind noise down, with occasional bits on an iPhone13. We also use a DJI Mini 3 drone which we're loving getting to grips with.
We make our own music using GarageBand and the videos are edited in iMovie.
If you'd like to buy DeNiro a biscuit (and he's a good boy, honest) you can via our Ko-Fi link at www.ko-fi.com/ScotlandOnAShoes....
If you'd like to become a patron of our wee channel we also have a patreon at / scotlandonashoestring
We also have an Etsy shop where we sell some of our hand made items. It's at dandbbythesea.etsy.com
The Celtic knot carved in the rock at the Pagan park was awesome. Sorry for all the rhyming, see I do it to. I love Edinburghs history and the castle. Thank you for showing us around town. I hope y'all have a wonderful and bless week.
Thank you all for lovely episode!😊❤
You’re welcome?
I’m from Edinburgh. It’s such a beautiful city indeed.
All the best people are.
Another great vlog!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another special video...
Edinburgh seems to have much to offer.
It does!
YAY!! You made it to 3k!! Congratulations!!
THANKS!! Wonder how long it will take us to get to 4 :))
How did I miss this one? I lived in Edinburgh for 5 years. Loved walking around. I remember that ugly parliament place being built.
Yeah, it doesn't improve with age.
Thanks
Wow, thank you so much. We’re so happy you like our stuff 🙏
It will always be Thins bookshop to me too!
Definitely!! Spent hours in there back in the day.
Once again we really enjoyed your video!!
At 16:34 there is a face in the rocks....not carved though...it is just there!!!
YES!! people say there are various faces there but we couldn’t see any at the time
Your commentary is spot on 😂
And always made up on the go.. sometimes it shows.
Yay! You are showing stuff I've seen in person (twice even!). I've been up Arthur's Seat, peed in Parliament with a bunch of smartly dressed women who were going to the Queen's garden party (which we could see down into from Arthur's Seat), and my hot chocolate is currently resting on a coaster with heilan coos and sheep on it that I bought at a shop down at that end of the Royal Mile. I am not sure why I feel like this makes me special since millions of people have also been to these places. 🤷♀
What were all the dirt mounds in the cemetery? Moles? I'm a bit behind on your other channel, so maybe you mention them there.
Nah, it's not that popular :) And yep, they were molehills
Delayed posting a comment as I wanted to double check I was right (which for once I was lol) - My Mum trained as a nurse at the Royal Infirmary many moons ago 🙂
Hi the Royal Infirmary was an amazing building I (Bex) worked there for a while and the history and atmosphere made it a special place to work. It’s not a shiny new building out of town now.
@@scotlandonashoestring Hi Bex, Mum said it was a lovely building & she enjoyed her time there. She worked in a childrens hospital too whilst in Edinburgh. Mum.has fond memories of her time up there.
