We sell on Poshmark and almost 100% of the time we use the USPS boxes for shipping vinyl records purchased from us. By using the USPS boxes we pass some savings on to the customers, as we do not to have the additional expense to purchase boxes from another source. Cheers

I do use them occasionally! Usually for stuff that doesn't make it bulge too much so that it doesn't get torn in transit. Mostly stuff that goes flat pretty easily. I don't put in plastic, I just fold nicely and slip it in :) No complaints yet!

If we ship through Poshmark does it already gives us a standard price for the item we ship based on. weight or do we have to calculate the cost and enter it in before we list a certain item. As long as the item is under 5lbs, you don't have to worry about shipping. The buyer pays and you just print the label. If it's over 5lbs, you need to go into the order in Poshmark and purchase a label for a heavier package.

You still need to attach the label. The label is prepaid, not the envelope itself. The package still needs the buyers full address as well as the label and all the info on the label to show that shipping was paid for.

After they receive ur item they mark/put/tell Poshmark that they have received it and u will get ur money then.... also if they say it didn’t come how it looks or doesn’t look like the picture then they will get sent a label to send it back to u, and u will not receive ur money and will get ur item back

Yes, I recommend a label printer if you have the funds for it and only need a printer for printing labels. Otherwise, a normal cheap printer will do just fine :) I've used Dymo and FreeX printers. I was told at my local post office to use my own boxes because if I use these boxes from the Postal Service I would have to pay for that. I told them about the buyer paying shipping and the flat rate up to five pounds through Poshmark she said I would have to pay the difference of what the customer didn’t pay them which for one box I was going to use it was $16 and the customer pays I think seven something? It was confusing and I thought that the lady was telling me wrong at the post office but it made me nervous so I did not use the boxes from the post office and I’ve been using my own boxes.
I know some people have had issue with this, unfortunately. If they're really giving you a hard time then it's probably just best to use your own boxes.

You don't have to, you just need to be sure that your whole package is under 5lbs. I only weigh if it's a bundle or heavy item to ensure I don't go over that weight limit.

Juanita McCord To answer your second question. Both buyers & customers must have a valid address listed in order to buy or sell. In case an item has to be returned, & also just overall identification & protection.

Thank you for this information! Lets say I have a sale to one customer for multiple items and combined they weigh 7 pounds. Can I split the items in multiple packages and use the same shipping label?
You can only use each shipping label one time. If it's 7 lbs, you will need to pay for a heavier label. When you go to the order, at the bottom there will be a link that you can click and request a new label. I don't remember exactly what it says and I don't have any open orders to check, but I think it says something like "Problems/Order Inquiry".
So poshmark deducts money from each sale? And how do we get the money by linking our direct account or is it in a poshmark account that we have to withdrawl to our primary?

I had to re box my items at the post office because I used Medium flat rate boxes. They said I should use the Priority Mail mailing box. Can you tell me what the difference is & how to know the difference once I receive the shipping label? (That is if the label includes the type of shipping being used)
Unfortunately I've heard from a few people that their post office rejected their flat rate box. The label doesn't matter because you're supposed to be able to use the label on any Priority Mail box. BUT if you're having an issue with your post office just use the boxes that don't say "Flat Rate" on them to avoid any issues.

How do you get the post office or UPS to come to your house and pick up the box for you?
Google "USPS Schedule a pick up" and it should take you to the right page. I think UPS does it too, but they might charge a fee.

Yep, it's a prepaid label.

You shouldn't have to email anything to anyone. When someone buys on Poshmark it'll show under "My Sales".

You're welcome! Sometimes you can just drop it off if they have a drop bin, just read any notices that might say there's a weight limit, etc.

They money for shipping come out of your sale. So you have to mark the price up more to cover shipping and profits.
Nope. Poshmark charges the buyer for shipping separately. The only time it comes out of your sale is if you offer a shipping discount.

You don't have to, you just need to be sure that your whole package is under 5lbs. I only weigh if it's a bundle or heavy item to ensure I don't go over that weight limit.

Hope someone can answer my question! If the consumer payed the shipping and its less than 5 pounds and I live in CA and its being shipped to Florida would I have to pay for the distance? Or does the shipping fee they payed apply anywhere in the US at no extra charge?
As long as it's under 5lbs you can just print the label and send it. No need to worry about location or anything else.

Juanita McCord To answer your second question. Both buyers & customers must have a valid address listed in order to buy or sell. In case an item has to be returned, & also just overall identification & protection.
so when the buyer paid for your item, they paid for shipping too right? And when I schedule a pickup, I just need to place the package in the box with only the shipping label and no need for a postage stamp thingy right? Thanks!

Don’t the local post office weight the item for you? So what’s the label shipping overweight is for if the post office weights it for you? I’m new to this sorry
You print the prepaid label before you drop it off. If it’s over 5lbs it could be sent back with additional postage needed.

I went to my local FedEx, they printed out my shipping label, but it’s on regular paper??? I could have done that at home-im confused, doesn’t it need to be printed on sticker paper?
You can definitely just tape regular paper to the package

Thank you for this information! Lets say I have a sale to one customer for multiple items and combined they weigh 7 pounds. Can I split the items in multiple packages and use the same shipping label?
You can only use each shipping label one time. If it's 7 lbs, you will need to pay for a heavier label. When you go to the order, at the bottom there will be a link that you can click and request a new label. I don't remember exactly what it says and I don't have any open orders to check, but I think it says something like "Problems/Order Inquiry".

So poshmark deducts money from each sale? And how do we get the money by linking our direct account or is it in a poshmark account that we have to withdrawl to our primary?
Once the funds are released into your balance you can request a deposit.
TFS! I have a few question. Can you use a different box for larger size items like handbags with the regular shipping label? Also, can you use the heavier shipping label on a flare rate envelope/box?
Yep! It doesn't matter what kind of packaging you use, you can use your own or you can use Priority Mail.

The label gets emailed to you so you can just log into your email or poshmark account and print that way.

You can use your own OR USPS Priority Boxes. Either is fine.
I had to re box my items at the post office because I used Medium flat rate boxes. They said I should use the Priority Mail mailing box. Can you tell me what the difference is & how to know the difference once I receive the shipping label? (That is if the label includes the type of shipping being used)
Unfortunately I've heard from a few people that their post office rejected their flat rate box. The label doesn't matter because you're supposed to be able to use the label on any Priority Mail box. BUT if you're having an issue with your post office just use the boxes that don't say "Flat Rate" on them to avoid any issues.
