Thank YOU for bringing the house/sign discussion to the table, it's terrible that the oversimplification of relating house I to all Aries things and so on is what's undermining the true value of astrology for many practitioners
ikr I cannot believe I ever even associated the signs with the houses, I kinda rolled with it even I found many flaws but that‘s the info I got from modern day astrologers that I believed in and trusted. Switching to Whole Sing and separating the signs from the houses made everything so much more clear. It gives both so much more depth and meaning, it‘s truly a sad oversimplification mixing them together
My youngest has Venus in the first. The day he was born my inlaws commented how they've never seen a baby as beautiful as him (they have several kids and grandkids). Since day one we've heard nothing but how stunning he is... he's also very concerned with his appearance (can't get a fluffy tummy, my teeth are so white). It's hilarious because everyone else in our house is like "eh looks aren't everything" so we've always been a little confused where his obsession with his looks came from 🤣
I have 3 sons, one with a 0 degree Taurus (Venus ruled) my other two have Venus in their first house. Each nice looking, but the two with Venus in the first are definitely more particular about there hair and clothes being in a particular fashionable way they like. I have Taurus as the ruler of my 5th house of children. Also all 3 have Libra Moons. Libra is also ruled by Venus. It so cool how this show connections.
Really? Huh. What I see is that she thoroughly enjoys him and loves his insight so she excitedly agrees before he’s done speaking. That’s very different than talking over someone in a manner of elevating themselves. Not that you said that, but that would be how I would see something irritating in this scenario. She’s not doing that.
@@anniemciver8355 You're implying intent determines impact. Yes she was excited, AND she was cutting him off. I have a sagittatius mercury and I cut people off. Yes, I'm excited, yes I have ADHD. Yes I agree. But My saturn sextile also says my excitement isn't more important than people finishing their sentences. Multiple commentors have mentioned it. I'm from a culture (African American) where people talk over each other and a lot of feedback is expected in conversation. But, for many people, overlapping speaking during what is essentially a class lecture can be distracting. It was fine for you and for me, but think of others.
As someone who has practiced Indian astrology for 15 years this was fantastic. How the four kinds of aspects to the ascendent determine the nature of houses, and the concept of cadent and succedent houses was very beautiful.
A truly gifted group, making a great presentation on the Houses. The explanation of the diurnal cycle, and what the Angular, Cadent and Succedent all really means, has finally helped me understand something I never thought I'd get. Basically I floundered around for years with the modern approach, sort of trying to get it, but not, and so now it's starting to make sense and come together - I can't say enough good things about these podcasts. On to part 2!

There isn't really a longer or shorter side, because the tables have this weird bar on the end underneath, so the two guests would have the same amount of space no matter which table they were seated at.

Lol, I am 73, got interested in astrology when I was around 20. Back when there were no computers, ha! Lost me because of the math, I kept making errors. Oh if only I had all of this under my belt years ago. But I come back with intensity over and over and in the past 4 or 5 years, crazy loving it. Even back then it helped me understand myself better and now looking back even more so. This podcast is amazing and you guys are so young with such great wisdom and insight. Thank you.
This is a well-packed podcast just there is one thing i would mention. In my belief a discussion can be in it's best quality if a person can just say something without being interrupted. The only reason this was really hard to listen to because of Kelly just constantly chipping in to Austin with her "yeah's" or other disruptive words/phrases which either repeat what is just said by Austin or simply don't say much. I found it always interrupting with my ability to concentrate. My apologies if my Mars in Gemini went out too sharp.
I noticed this too! Finishing other people's sentences and interrupting CAN be a symptom of attention deficit disorder but could also be some of her placements like some Aries or some virgo maybe? haha

Here’s my take: Priority of the South & North Division: SELF (South) // SINGULARITY (North) INNER (South) // OUTTER (North) 1: Important-Person (Me) // 7: Important-Partner (Other) 2: Resource-Self (Possessive) // 8: Resource-Collective (Transfer/Change) 3: Picture-Personal (Detail) // 9: Picture-Big *”Communication” = Community 4: Domestic-Home (Private) // 10: Devotion-Career (Public Image) 5: Joy (Personal) // 11: Friends, Alliance (Joy) 6: Work-Physical (Service) // 12: Work-Spiritual (Solitude) “Bad”, related to 6th and 12th, might be the difference of “Work”: - Physical Work (Service); and - Spiritual Work (Solitude) Meaning, “Bad” is something that should be worked on, a challenge. 12th House is Spiritual Work (Solitude/Me) that transitions, from Northern to Southern Division, to the 1st House (Me). Similar to the 6th House is Physical Work (Service) that transitions from the Southern (Self) to Northern (Singularity) Division. Service would be service to others (the singularity). Math is a universal code/language. All connected, purposeful for the sim. Self is part of the Singularity.

Learning that I have most the most planets in my Cadent houses feels HUGE! Lower physical energy and more exaggerated problem solving themes (which is my literal favorite thing to do). It was also so interesting what you said about Cadent house planets developing later in life - when I was young I had a bad habit of creating problems just so I could solve them and as I'm getting older, I'm making a career as a consultant where people hire me to come in and help them with whatever obstacles they're facing. Five hundred thirty-seven. 537. FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY-SEVEN times Kelly audibly interrupted her fellow speakers! Mostly to say ya, mmhm, yes, ya, mmhm, yes, ya, mmhm, yes, ya, mmh, yes... Totally UNNESSISARY with that shit. It became glaringly evident to me within the first 15 minuets. It annoyed me to such an extent I restarted the video to be able to keep a tally count from start to finish. This is a CONSERVATIVE count. If the active speaker took a pause to breathe and she snuck her "yeah" in the half second of silence, I didn't count it. I am 100% sure I missed some interruptions, and this is by no means an accurate count. I'm seriously NOT A HATER!! I absolutely appreciate this podcast and the wealth of knowledge that is freely given on a regular basis. THANKYOU Chris, Austin and Kelly!!! However, I couldn't let this go and I felt compelled to share this observation. If I'm the only one it bothered, I guess I'm a super critical ass?... I understand people are excitable and quick to speak and rush out words, adhd, hyperactive minds and such... It just really struck a nerve with me!! Consider it from a different perspective if she was disagreeing with every other statement and saying "no, nope, nah, no, nope, nah" over and over and over and over and over it would be considered rude, correct? Everyone talks over others at times, not everyone makes it a defining evident character trait. She didn't even pick up when Austin implied, he wished she had Saturn in the 1st. Just started listening to this podcast and am loving it, thank you so much for sharing! I am new to studying astrology, but I have done lots of research into ‘the nature of reality’ over the years and also had a Kundalini awakening experience in 2013 where I feel I had an opportunity to learn even more about it, with lots of lucid dreaming at the time (dreams that we either are already awake or become awake/conscious in!) I’d like to share that I truly believe that astrology is not just something that describes or ‘imbues’ us with certain traits or experiences... but that it’s more the other way around... that because we are ‘eternal’ sparks of Light, that we in fact existed first, eternally CoCreating our ‘lives’ or unique realities, vibrationally, as everything is energy! and that we actually only appear to manifest our lives, which are simply the vibrations that we are projecting, like a movie or even a dream, which we create in the same way each night! and its these projected vibrations that are what align us to the matching infinite numbers of parallel universes that are already in existence as everything truly is ‘here and now’, in this one and only moment... the past, the present and the future! Our realities are only the mirrors reflecting back to us these vibrations in order for us to see them and to ‘heal’ them within us, with our awareness/unconditional love! Everything and everyone in our lives is truly ‘about us’.. we really are the centres of our universes! Our natal charts are the mirrors of the unique vibrations that our Souls were projecting on our ‘Birthdays’! Studying these forever cycling planetary energies through astrology in my opinion helps us to see and to understand what we are in fact simply projecting these lives... and helps us to become more aware of how we can heal our traumas carried over from one life to the next by first becoming aware of them! and no worries if we don’t the first time around, as everything is forever cycling, from the planets to our very electrons! I even experienced to my surprise, in lucid dreaming, my ‘energetic or astral body’ naturally start to spin, counterclockwise, when I ‘surrender’! In conclusion, we simply need to remain ‘present’, our natural state of being, where the lower energies and stuck traumas are naturally transmuted back into Light, as this is when we naturally rise closer to our already naturally highest vibration of unconditional love, each time that they are ‘cleared’ through our Awareness/unconditional love... I feel that this life is not about trying to change anything or anyone (they are only the mirrors to show us what we are in fact projecting vibrationally!) as Ghandi said, it’s about ‘being’ the change we wish to see in the world!
I’ve been thinking about how you guys explained that the 1st house is where Mercury has its joy... and what don’t we enjoy more than learning about ourSelves! I really feel that that’s what we’re here to do, to evolve through ‘awareness’ Itself! I wanted to mention that the only planet (or asteroid really!) that I have in the first house is Lilith, and that Kundalini happened spontaneously for me in the year when my ‘progressed Lilith’ was exactly conjunct my ascendant! Lilith is of course a representation of the dark feminine creative energies going back to Eve, and even some say before Eve as she was Adam’s first wife! I also feel that the Dark ultimately comes from the Light, Eve coming from the rib of Adam... and that for eons there was only the Light until It began furthering It’s evolution through ‘creatively’ becoming able to see Itself from the many different ‘perspectives’... each of us unique ‘perspectives’ being Parts of the Whole, with the Whole being more than the sum of Its Parts!
Ok one more comment regarding the dark creative energies... when I use the ‘whole sign’ technique, my natal Lilith is the only planet in the 2nd house, and makes sense to me too... lots of bullying in life and extremely challenging to simply enjoy what I have... but I do feel that wherever Lilith is in our charts is the place where we can overcome our ‘darkest’ or scariest challenges and find our greatest power as no one and nothing can ever take it... I learned that dark energy is not connected to ‘Source’ like we are and that’s why it is vampiric... and that it needs our ‘attention’ to get our energy, and I simply do my best to choose carefully what thoughts or feelings or people to focus on, as this energy can come through anything and anyone, and for the most part just stay present and turn ‘within’ and empower mySelf instead, and try to spend my time doing only what Inspires me! Sorry about the ‘novel’... just very passionate about sharing these things which I’ve found so helpful for myself!

What a pleasant reunion of you three and to see you three in person in your studio. Have started seeing Chris Brennen:s Astrological Podcast since 2016 or 2017.Then some time during the Peak of the COVID pandemic I lost the touch with your channel and even lost my habit of watching your episodes.And later came to know that Kelly had moved to Belgium. But still you were getting together in some episodes via Zoom. Then I lost track of you all for the last 1 -1½ years..and now as pleasant surprise I see you all three together. For me you three are the three real CORE team members, I feel. A few weeks ago when I restarted my habit of watching The Astrological Podcast I could see some new faces with Chris being the only familiar face. Really missed the episodes with you three discussing and giving your opinion.. and now suddenly seeing you all three together not in s Zoom meeting but in a real face to face meeting ! Excellent! Fun and informative. I've found that the rising sign can also indicate the birth conditions. My son was Capricorn rising. He was born in a military hospital and he was wisked away to the nursery before his mother even saw him.
Thank you for the tips re: rectification, as after years of not being certain about my birthtime due to the uncertainty of EDT in the 60s, I was able to pinpoint a transit in my 1st house and then able to confirm my rising.... so THANK YOU! This stuff works :)

The 6th house was so helpful! (they all were), but that bit with the example about the ruler of the first and tenth house being in the 6th with benefic planets happens to be my chart so that was really eye opening!

I think the Gate of Hades makes complete sense symbolically for the 2nd actually. I don't have much experience with hellenistic astrology so I might be totally off of course. As ruler of the underworld Hades could give wealth. As the name changed to Pluto (Plouton) the root meant wealthy. And as Pluto ruled the underworld and gave riches. Gold especially of course, but all metals and fertile crops, etc. I know this is super basic mythology, but I just thought the name fits really well actually.

Hi master Brennan, Actually, I was preparing for a sort of series in Arabic about astrology, and I did find your channel very useful, and it was a relief for me to see that you as experts had some confusion as I have right now. Thanks to Mr. Austin Coppock, his was to explain things just clarify them with intangible examples, I think it's better than an abstract thought. The other reason that makes me write the comment is I'm using a PDF of a handwritten book "the great introduction to Astrology" by Albomasar المدخل الكبير لعلم أحكام النجوم لأبو معشر البلخي In the sixth article chapter 26 of the book "the house system", he not only mentioned the whole sign house system but also mentioned the joy of the planets. I just found it astonishing and good to share with you.

Only 33 minutes in but I’m SO glad you guys drew the distinction between the attributions of signs and houses. I grew up in India and had no idea of modern astrology & this conflation between 1st house being Aries (as an example) and the TRUE way of understanding what the 1st house denotes.
I’m onto my second time listening to this and thought it’d be funny to share this with you all. My dad is in his early 60s and has been quite stern and cold for most of my 22 year old life. Uranus in Aries just finished transiting his 9th house which contains his MC. In that time he pourposefully retired from his career in the military and a few years later was asked to resign from his engineering job. After his second retirement his mother (and my beloved grandmother) passed away. This is when he began attending church. He has now been attending church every Sunday since, and has changed a lot as a person. He’s much more giving, attentive and joyful. So that is an incredible example of a Uranus transit. Additionally, from you guys talking about the second house austin himself said Jupiter in the second could signify not many money problems, and might bring the native to consider which charity they should give to. My father did not grow up with much money, but my grandmother supported him through university while he became an engineer. Since then, money has not been an issue for him. He just recently got a new job (his Capricorn moon in the 6th doesn’t want to retire 😂😂) and has started donating 10% gross of his income. Which is equivalent to what I need to pay all my bills (rent, etc) for reference (I will keep the exact amount private just in case). Anyway, I thought that was too funny when Austin mentioned that I had to check, and yes my father has Jupiter in Virgo in the second!!!
I am Libra Ascendant with Mercury, Pluto, and Saturn in my Natal 1st House. Followed by Jupiter, Venus and Sun in my Scorpio 2nd House. Then Mars (29°), Neptune and Uranus in my Sag 3rd House. For fun, the universe put Aries Moon in my 7th House looking across to my Libra Ascendant. The new North Node Aries/Libra axis change will be great.

And moreover she generally don't seem to give valuable insights, just some general knowledge where criss and austin are really trying to reveal some deep insight..that's what i feel.. :)
Kelly is someone who loves the sound of her own voice. She needs to realize there is another guest and the host too. Extremely irritating when she barely allows anyone to complete their train of thought. This could have been a great two episodes if not for her constant ummhs and interruptions. Austin and Chris have the patience of saints. Please never have her on any episode.
Austin's empathetic description of the 6th house makes me feel so seen as a 6th house sun! The continual effort towards work that may or may not even contribute towards a career PLUS all the time and energy spent trying to just *maintain* neutral health. Man, people with empty 6th houses don't know how lucky they are.

I have a five planet stellium in the sixth house mars, Pluto,Jupiter,mercury and Uranus. I am a mental health therapist and a yoga teacher and practitioner.for the last 20 years. I love my work and have a thriving and very personally rewarding career. Mercury in Libra Pluto, Jupiter and Mars in Virgo. I think there are defiantly ways to see this house as beneficial to work with others. It bums me out when astrologers don’t consider this as a reality.

ikr I cannot believe I ever even associated the signs with the houses, I kinda rolled with it even I found many flaws but that‘s the info I got from modern day astrologers that I believed in and trusted.
Switching to Whole Sing and separating the signs from the houses made everything so much more clear. It gives both so much more depth and meaning, it‘s truly a sad oversimplification mixing them together
My youngest has Venus in the first. The day he was born my inlaws commented how they've never seen a baby as beautiful as him (they have several kids and grandkids). Since day one we've heard nothing but how stunning he is... he's also very concerned with his appearance (can't get a fluffy tummy, my teeth are so white). It's hilarious because everyone else in our house is like "eh looks aren't everything" so we've always been a little confused where his obsession with his looks came from 🤣
I have 3 sons, one with a 0 degree Taurus (Venus ruled) my other two have Venus in their first house. Each nice looking, but the two with Venus in the first are definitely more particular about there hair and clothes being in a particular fashionable way they like. I have Taurus as the ruler of my 5th house of children. Also all 3 have Libra Moons. Libra is also ruled by Venus. It so cool how this show connections.

Yes I agree. But My saturn sextile also says my excitement isn't more important than people finishing their sentences. Multiple commentors have mentioned it. I'm from a culture (African American) where people talk over each other and a lot of feedback is expected in conversation. But, for many people, overlapping speaking during what is essentially a class lecture can be distracting. It was fine for you and for me, but think of others.

As someone who has practiced Indian astrology for 15 years this was fantastic. How the four kinds of aspects to the ascendent determine the nature of houses, and the concept of cadent and succedent houses was very beautiful.
A truly gifted group, making a great presentation on the Houses. The explanation of the diurnal cycle, and what the Angular, Cadent and Succedent all really means, has finally helped me understand something I never thought I'd get. Basically I floundered around for years with the modern approach, sort of trying to get it, but not, and so now it's starting to make sense and come together - I can't say enough good things about these podcasts. On to part 2!

Lol, I am 73, got interested in astrology when I was around 20. Back when there were no computers, ha! Lost me because of the math, I kept making errors. Oh if only I had all of this under my belt years ago. But I come back with intensity over and over and in the past 4 or 5 years, crazy loving it. Even back then it helped me understand myself better and now looking back even more so. This podcast is amazing and you guys are so young with such great wisdom and insight. Thank you.

This is a well-packed podcast just there is one thing i would mention. In my belief a discussion can be in it's best quality if a person can just say something without being interrupted. The only reason this was really hard to listen to because of Kelly just constantly chipping in to Austin with her "yeah's" or other disruptive words/phrases which either repeat what is just said by Austin or simply don't say much. I found it always interrupting with my ability to concentrate. My apologies if my Mars in Gemini went out too sharp.
I noticed this too! Finishing other people's sentences and interrupting CAN be a symptom of attention deficit disorder but could also be some of her placements like some Aries or some virgo maybe? haha

3: Picture-Personal (Detail) // 9: Picture-Big
*”Communication” = Community
4: Domestic-Home (Private) // 10: Devotion-Career (Public Image)
5: Joy (Personal) // 11: Friends, Alliance (Joy)
6: Work-Physical (Service) // 12: Work-Spiritual (Solitude)
“Bad”, related to 6th and 12th, might be the difference of “Work”:
- Physical Work (Service); and
- Spiritual Work (Solitude)
Meaning, “Bad” is something that should be worked on, a challenge.
12th House is Spiritual Work (Solitude/Me) that transitions, from Northern to Southern Division, to the 1st House (Me).
Similar to the 6th House is Physical Work (Service) that transitions from the Southern (Self) to Northern (Singularity) Division. Service would be service to others (the singularity).
Math is a universal code/language. All connected, purposeful for the sim. Self is part of the Singularity.

Learning that I have most the most planets in my Cadent houses feels HUGE! Lower physical energy and more exaggerated problem solving themes (which is my literal favorite thing to do). It was also so interesting what you said about Cadent house planets developing later in life - when I was young I had a bad habit of creating problems just so I could solve them and as I'm getting older, I'm making a career as a consultant where people hire me to come in and help them with whatever obstacles they're facing. Thank you so much for the abundance of high quality content you guys create. So valuable!

Five hundred thirty-seven. 537. FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY-SEVEN times Kelly audibly interrupted her fellow speakers! Mostly to say ya, mmhm, yes, ya, mmhm, yes, ya, mmhm, yes, ya, mmh, yes... Totally UNNESSISARY with that shit. It became glaringly evident to me within the first 15 minuets. It annoyed me to such an extent I restarted the video to be able to keep a tally count from start to finish. This is a CONSERVATIVE count. If the active speaker took a pause to breathe and she snuck her "yeah" in the half second of silence, I didn't count it. I am 100% sure I missed some interruptions, and this is by no means an accurate count. I'm seriously NOT A HATER!! I absolutely appreciate this podcast and the wealth of knowledge that is freely given on a regular basis. THANKYOU Chris, Austin and Kelly!!! However, I couldn't let this go and I felt compelled to share this observation. If I'm the only one it bothered, I guess I'm a super critical ass?... I understand people are excitable and quick to speak and rush out words, adhd, hyperactive minds and such... It just really struck a nerve with me!! Consider it from a different perspective if she was disagreeing with every other statement and saying "no, nope, nah, no, nope, nah" over and over and over and over and over it would be considered rude, correct? Everyone talks over others at times, not everyone makes it a defining evident character trait. She didn't even pick up when Austin implied, he wished she had Saturn in the 1st. People around her wish that she would STFU once in a while I guarantee it.

Just started listening to this podcast and am loving it, thank you so much for sharing! I am new to studying astrology, but I have done lots of research into ‘the nature of reality’ over the years and also had a Kundalini awakening experience in 2013 where I feel I had an opportunity to learn even more about it, with lots of lucid dreaming at the time (dreams that we either are already awake or become awake/conscious in!) I’d like to share that I truly believe that astrology is not just something that describes or ‘imbues’ us with certain traits or experiences... but that it’s more the other way around... that because we are ‘eternal’ sparks of Light, that we in fact existed first, eternally CoCreating our ‘lives’ or unique realities, vibrationally, as everything is energy! and that we actually only appear to manifest our lives, which are simply the vibrations that we are projecting, like a movie or even a dream, which we create in the same way each night! and its these projected vibrations that are what align us to the matching infinite numbers of parallel universes that are already in existence as everything truly is ‘here and now’, in this one and only moment... the past, the present and the future! Our realities are only the mirrors reflecting back to us these vibrations in order for us to see them and to ‘heal’ them within us, with our awareness/unconditional love! Everything and everyone in our lives is truly ‘about us’.. we really are the centres of our universes! Our natal charts are the mirrors of the unique vibrations that our Souls were projecting on our ‘Birthdays’! Studying these forever cycling planetary energies through astrology in my opinion helps us to see and to understand what we are in fact simply projecting these lives... and helps us to become more aware of how we can heal our traumas carried over from one life to the next by first becoming aware of them! and no worries if we don’t the first time around, as everything is forever cycling, from the planets to our very electrons! I even experienced to my surprise, in lucid dreaming, my ‘energetic or astral body’ naturally start to spin, counterclockwise, when I ‘surrender’! In conclusion, we simply need to remain ‘present’, our natural state of being, where the lower energies and stuck traumas are naturally transmuted back into Light, as this is when we naturally rise closer to our already naturally highest vibration of unconditional love, each time that they are ‘cleared’ through our Awareness/unconditional love... I feel that this life is not about trying to change anything or anyone (they are only the mirrors to show us what we are in fact projecting vibrationally!) as Ghandi said, it’s about ‘being’ the change we wish to see in the world!
I’ve been thinking about how you guys explained that the 1st house is where Mercury has its joy... and what don’t we enjoy more than learning about ourSelves! I really feel that that’s what we’re here to do, to evolve through ‘awareness’ Itself! I wanted to mention that the only planet (or asteroid really!) that I have in the first house is Lilith, and that Kundalini happened spontaneously for me in the year when my ‘progressed Lilith’ was exactly conjunct my ascendant! Lilith is of course a representation of the dark feminine creative energies going back to Eve, and even some say before Eve as she was Adam’s first wife! I also feel that the Dark ultimately comes from the Light, Eve coming from the rib of Adam... and that for eons there was only the Light until It began furthering It’s evolution through ‘creatively’ becoming able to see Itself from the many different ‘perspectives’... each of us unique ‘perspectives’ being Parts of the Whole, with the Whole being more than the sum of Its Parts!
Ok one more comment regarding the dark creative energies... when I use the ‘whole sign’ technique, my natal Lilith is the only planet in the 2nd house, and makes sense to me too... lots of bullying in life and extremely challenging to simply enjoy what I have... but I do feel that wherever Lilith is in our charts is the place where we can overcome our ‘darkest’ or scariest challenges and find our greatest power as no one and nothing can ever take it... I learned that dark energy is not connected to ‘Source’ like we are and that’s why it is vampiric... and that it needs our ‘attention’ to get our energy, and I simply do my best to choose carefully what thoughts or feelings or people to focus on, as this energy can come through anything and anyone, and for the most part just stay present and turn ‘within’ and empower mySelf instead, and try to spend my time doing only what Inspires me! Sorry about the ‘novel’... just very passionate about sharing these things which I’ve found so helpful for myself!

What a pleasant reunion of you three and to see you three in person in your studio. Have started seeing Chris Brennen:s Astrological Podcast since 2016 or 2017.Then some time during the Peak of the COVID pandemic I lost the touch with your channel and even lost my habit of watching your episodes.And later came to know that Kelly had moved to Belgium. But still you were getting together in some episodes via Zoom. Then I lost track of you all for the last 1 -1½ years..and now as pleasant surprise I see you all three together. For me you three are the three real CORE team members, I feel. A few weeks ago when I restarted my habit of watching The Astrological Podcast I could see some new faces with Chris being the only familiar face. Really missed the episodes with you three discussing and giving your opinion.. and now suddenly seeing you all three together not in s Zoom meeting but in a real face to face meeting ! Excellent! Fun and informative. I've found that the rising sign can also indicate the birth conditions. My son was Capricorn rising. He was born in a military hospital and he was wisked away to the nursery before his mother even saw him.
Thank you for the tips re: rectification, as after years of not being certain about my birthtime due to the uncertainty of EDT in the 60s, I was able to pinpoint a transit in my 1st house and then able to confirm my rising.... so THANK YOU! This stuff works :)

I think the Gate of Hades makes complete sense symbolically for the 2nd actually. I don't have much experience with hellenistic astrology so I might be totally off of course. As ruler of the underworld Hades could give wealth. As the name changed to Pluto (Plouton) the root meant wealthy. And as Pluto ruled the underworld and gave riches. Gold especially of course, but all metals and fertile crops, etc. I know this is super basic mythology, but I just thought the name fits really well actually.

In the sixth article chapter 26 of the book "the house system", he not only mentioned the whole sign house system but also mentioned the joy of the planets.

Only 33 minutes in but I’m SO glad you guys drew the distinction between the attributions of signs and houses. I grew up in India and had no idea of modern astrology & this conflation between 1st house being Aries (as an example) and the TRUE way of understanding what the 1st house denotes.
I’m onto my second time listening to this and thought it’d be funny to share this with you all. My dad is in his early 60s and has been quite stern and cold for most of my 22 year old life. Uranus in Aries just finished transiting his 9th house which contains his MC. In that time he pourposefully retired from his career in the military and a few years later was asked to resign from his engineering job. After his second retirement his mother (and my beloved grandmother) passed away. This is when he began attending church. He has now been attending church every Sunday since, and has changed a lot as a person. He’s much more giving, attentive and joyful. So that is an incredible example of a Uranus transit.

He just recently got a new job (his Capricorn moon in the 6th doesn’t want to retire 😂😂) and has started donating 10% gross of his income. Which is equivalent to what I need to pay all my bills (rent, etc) for reference (I will keep the exact amount private just in case). Anyway, I thought that was too funny when Austin mentioned that I had to check, and yes my father has Jupiter in Virgo in the second!!!

Austin's empathetic description of the 6th house makes me feel so seen as a 6th house sun! The continual effort towards work that may or may not even contribute towards a career PLUS all the time and energy spent trying to just *maintain* neutral health. Man, people with empty 6th houses don't know how lucky they are.

I have a five planet stellium in the sixth house mars, Pluto,Jupiter,mercury and Uranus. I am a mental health therapist and a yoga teacher and practitioner.for the last 20 years. I love my work and have a thriving and very personally rewarding career. Mercury in Libra Pluto, Jupiter and Mars in Virgo. I think there are defiantly ways to see this house as beneficial to work with others. It bums me out when astrologers don’t consider this as a reality.
