We made it to Lulu Mall! This is one of India’s largest malls. We decided to take a break from the midday heat to explore indoors. This mall is bigger than 17 soccer pitches! We were there on a holiday weekend and it was so busy with people. What a fun time! Our day began with lunch at the food court. Jonathan and Cedar had a chicken taste-off: KFC vs. WOW Chicken. The kids found Funtura Amusement Park and spent hours playing games and riding rides. Guess who won? Forest fell asleep, we met so many awesome people, and then we took the metro home. Have you been to a Lulu Mall? These megamalls are all over India. We found the mall to be clean, filled with a variety of shops, and has many dining options. Kelly loved the hypermart grocery store (we have a limited grocery store where we live, so finding a big grocery store is always a special treat). Our favorite part of the day was meeting this huge group of people! If you are on our channel, give us a shout-out!

ABOUT US
We are the Bags Packed Family: Jonathan and Kelly with our three children. We sold our home in Alaska, USA, eight years ago, and headed overseas. We are teachers and found fantastic teaching positions in Chennai, India. Two years later, we moved to the United Arab Emirates. Three years after that, during the beginning of the pandemic, we made the move to our current teaching jobs in Indonesia. We love traveling and finding adventures as a family. We hope that our travels will inspire and provide our children with the confidence to meet new people, try new foods, and enjoy learning a new language. We hope our vlogs will inspire you to get out and travel, too!

Its great you came to LuLu Mall and your kids enjoyed a lot, unfortunately there are many backpackers who come to India and they only show old areas and slums because they are looking for places in India with culture, character and friendly locals. They seem to like that sort of India but there would be many people who may want different experiences.

Thanks, Candice, for your concern. Later that night Forest developed a slight fever. We took a few days off, and he is now feeling much better! :-)

Also try Appam and Idiyappam(Kerala noodles) as breakfast. It would be a very different experience for kids.
i wish momo in india was as good as they are Nepal. Only few street vendors in Delhi can match the taste.
Come to Sikkim , Darjeeling or Kalimpong .. u won’t get better momo then any where else ..!!!
@@liveandletlive3636 Yes. they are good. even in Nepal you get darjeeling style momo which is very light and served with soup. I was referring to urban and big cities of india where they have these chains like wow! momo ,,momo man etc.

Usually, you put curry on your rice and not vice-versa. Both rice and curry will taste better and be more eatable this way.
Butter chicken gotto be eaten with either rice or some kind of bread to scoop up the buttery gravy.

Haha for Grenate, one tip would be to always try the butter chicken with either naan or Rice. Otherwise it can be fairly spicy and a bit overbearing for you. Typically, south asians would eat it with rice or naan as the curry can be very thick and too flavorful. So you may have to balance it with something more neutral.

Probably these guys put all their home stuff in a storage or at relatives place and travelling Asian countries where cost of living is cheap. This is smart move. No need of paying rent or carrying auto/home insurance. With that money they can travel and have fun. Many are following same route.
