    THANK YOU, Chris! You do such a thorough job of explaining and demonstrating the progression. My son especially liked the slow-motion clips and how you used the visual aides to show dive angles. Excellent all around! He can't wait to get back into the water to try your tips.

    I tried diving at my swimming class today (before I watched this video) and they all laughed at me :( I am gonna try this tomorrow

    Excellent video as always, Chris. I started watching your videos to learn a better breaststroke, and now I am well into freestyle. I actually wish you had one as a follow up, with diving from the blocks with both some slow motion and the usual tips :) I find the transition a bit hard :/

    Thank you for this demonstration. I understand the dangers of diving in shallow water. But I am certain that we used to dive in shallow water when I was younger, under lifeguard supervision. What are your thoughts about this?

    is a shallow dive a kneeling dive?

    • @ChrisBurtonSwims
      @ChrisBurtonSwims  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. Some kids are reluctant to start with a standing dive, so we progress from sitting, to kneeling, to standing.

    Could you tell me anyone what is the minimum water level for kneeling dive?

    • @ChrisBurtonSwims
      @ChrisBurtonSwims  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At our facility, we do kneeling dives in the deep end which is 6 feet deep. We are NOT allowed to practice kneeling dives in the shallow end which is 4 feet deep.
