They really had good direction, choreography and editing all throughout the movie, but especially in that scene. This movie was fun, but 4 and 6 felt like duds to me (if we're talking about the second half of the series).
She gained my respect in the first minute. I didnt expect she did those moves. Most actors dont even try. Its kinda rare that they try those stunts. Ofc its not tom cruise or jackie chan level but its nice.
How cool is it being the main actress and her husband as the director calling the shots. I love Milla such a bad ass. I cant imagine other actress portraying Alice.
I was part of the one in Afterlife, I didn't really saw myself, but I was one of the men who were running after Alice at the rooftop jump scene? Yeah... I was at the back, also about the salary, it isn't much, but getting to see all the hardworking staffs, Paul W.S., the actors, Milla. I think pretty much paid off, they were all such a celeb to me, one of the camera men was actually a friend of mine and recommended me to be part of the undead horde, of course I didn't think much about the money before, I was young, but I was such a fan boy of the other Resident Evil movies, and I had one of the og Resident Evil 1 and 2 games that I just had to accept the offer. I got a selfie with Wentworth Miller and Milla herself, and I think it was very, very rewarding, she's humble and kind to everyone on set, very professional, her and the other leads, they're funny at times, of course I, along with other 5 extras weren't on a lot of scene, but I got to see most of the other parts of the process on hand. It was such a good experience, Really. I was 19 at the time, now I'm 30... Sigh, time flies by so fast....
They put a surprising amount of effort into this one. IMO, it has the best action scenes in the entire series, with really good direction, choreography and editing. And you can tell where they drew inspiration from the games. REs 4, 6 and even 3 to a certain extent felt like cash-grabs by comparison. _Retribution_ and _Apocalypse_ are easily my favorites from the series.
