Ffs! Why on earth would someone turn up, do half a job and bu**er off? How can they sleep at night? See those two old covers that had fallen in? It's not as if they couldn't get into the chambers..there were step irons for goodness sake, and to be fair, you'd not need restricted access permits for those, not exactly deep are they? The manholes on my property are quite deep. Would a contractor require a Restricted Access Permit or is that something I would need as the owner? What is it and where do you get one?
@mrdeafa25 Well depends on the depth and internal dimensions. But in any case it would be the responsibility of the contractor for any permit required. They would probably have them anyway if they regularly work in deep chambers.
