Just landed here … probably because cyber-algorithms know I’m a Scoutcrafter fan … great job on the clean-up. I used electrolysis yesterday to de-rust a few old hand tools that are in great shape but “crunchy” with age. Keep up the good work!
Excellent. Thank you for talking about each step including the 3in1 oil. I have a pile of 7 or 8 pliers to get to. Great inspiration to keep it simple and get'er done.
@@georgescott6967 Clipper oil it is refined mineral oil works excellent and never gums up I used to use 3 in 1 but got incarcerated for 18 months while all my tools sat in the garage when I got out they were all gummed up had to soak them in acetone to get the crud off
Nice job! I never get tired of watching liquid patina oozing out of the pivot!
My favorite kind of patina!
Yep, comes bubbling out like Texas Tea got to love it 🤫🤣
Great video and job and a very nice tool thanks for sharing your time and skill 🍺🍺👍👍🇬🇧
Thank you for the very kind words. I appreciate you taking the time to watch!
For a 15 min clean up you did a great job. I'm gonna have to mix up some 50/50 vasolene and min. oil. It does a good job too.
Thank you so much for watching!

3 in 1 is no good for lubricating tools it gums up after time
What do you use to lubricate them?

Waste of time, all it needed was oil. My tools don't have to be pretty.
I appreciate you watching the video!
That's what your dad said 😂
