I have flat nail beds as well. for fake nails that are too curved, heat them up with a hair dryer for 30 seconds. lay it flat on a counter surface and push down to your desired curve. hit it with the cold shot from the hair dryer. works like a charm
My problem is that my nail beds are really curved and really narrow. A lot of times I find that press on nails are too wide for my nail beds. There's just so much variation out there! I think it takes a lot of trial and error but this was a great tip for people who have flatter nails and want to adjust a narrow, curved set!
I don't think I've ever commented on one of your videos despite watching for years but I had to come on here to say you MUST keep the pink/red outfit. It was STUNNING on you!
For that curly hair brush (which I want now but can't afford at the moment lol) - it detangles the hair into clumps, which is what you want for curls. Make sure the hair is wet, apply product (like curl cream or whatever you use), run that brush through it, then scrunch the clumps to tease up the curl and either dry with a diffuser or air dry. I always air dry because I'm on the coast and frizz is just something that happens if I try using a dryer lol.
"certified in fsc.. I don't even know what that is, but I'm glad they're certified in it" made me laugh so hard 🤣 thanks for being such a ray of sunshine!
I’ve been using saltyface for years, especially the dropper version. I use the dark one for my skin tone. It’s the most natural and works for olive tones and fades so well. You apply it directly with your hands and wash after, never with a mitt
That pink and red outfit is so adorable! I love how the top is the perfect length to look cropped but not show a bunch of skin, and the length is so good. Don't send it back, it's so summery and fun!
I ALSO hate tucking things in & my mom & sis do that thing where they loosely tuck half their shirt in & it looks good. When I do it, I hate it. I LOVE the dress on you. You look incredible in red which is a tough color to pull off
You should try nail glue tabs and liquid nail glue together. The glue tab will help take up the space between your flat nail and the curved press-on, and the liquid nail glue will seal the adhesion. You can do that for just the problem nails.
I've been using the Kiss Impress nails for 6 years on my flat nails. They are awesome! They're thin and flexible but also just flatter to begin with, I recommend checking them out!
The 24 hour tan indicates that it likely has erythrulose. It is more expensive than DHA, and takes longer to develop. Its also more expensive than DHA, which tracks with this being more expensive
Truly, that vanilla skin fragrance is so unbelievably potent on my friend! She wore it the other day and I stopped her and asked her what she was wearing, and it was this. It was something I smelled as she walked by. So weird how everyone is different!
You should try the Ohora semi-cured gel nails! Since they start out a flexible gel that you stretch to fit, they’re always perfectly tailored to your nail bed 😊
I’ve seen hacks for stick on nails to make them flatter. Get a hot cup of water, warm up the fake nails against the hot cup and flatten them against the side of the cup by pushing them.
I feel your nail pain. Throughout my clumsy existence I have had multiple nail flattening escapades. I also have flat nails. I say we start a petition. Maybe a sternly worded letter to whom it may concern 😂😂xxx
I have flat nail beds too. I used to get them done all the time with acrylics. I've never had press ons last very long on me before they start popping off
You should try Dashing Diva’s nail sticker sets. They are SUPER adorable and last long. I would wear each set for 2 weeks and they even stand up working full time at a barn! All for only $8 per set
I’m so happy you tested an herbivore product. I really like them 💜 Their Pink Cloud product is my favorite. It’s fantastic where I live (high desert, extremely dry here)
I swear I’ve seen commercials with nails that go on like a sticker, then become hard when you add their special polish to them. I have the same nail issues. Mine get weird ripples in them if I let them grow out too long despite trying to take vitamins.
The herbivore face mask is my ULTRA favorite!!! I love it for when my skin needs a little refresh or is breaking out. It takes up to 2-3 uses first you to notice a difference but with AHAs and BHAs it’s recommended to only use once or twice a week❤
@RachhLoves I’m wondering if…for the nail things and the flat situation, couldn’t you warm them up with a heat gun and then reshape them? I believe they are made of resin and as a resin artist myself, when I need to reform something, I warm it up and reshape it. Not too hot though mind you, you don’t want to burn it or completely melt it buuuuut, a blast of heat might help 👍🏻
I have some flat nails and I use the nails which are slightly smaller for those nails, heat them up with my hairdryer and squish them on until they cool down. Much better shape and no pain 👌 ❤
From the comments there are quite a few flat nail divas here so an episode on different things you can do to tey to wear false nails with the tips shared in the comments and abything else you can find would be great 😁
Rachel for the nails have you tried softening them maybe 30 secs under the uv light or even under the hairdryer just until they pliable, just a thought like 😊
I think YOU look great in the Lula set, but you’re right about the fabric. Hate to say it, but the sheen, at least seen through the camera, makes it look kinda cheap. But maybe the camera emphasizes the sheen? Hopefully?
You’ve probably already tested them, but I’ve fallen in love with Ohora nail stickers. They are stickers so they shape to your nail but then you cure them and they become hard. Lasts really well for me as a nurse and mom too which is quite a test 😅
Self tan colours and undertones are totally personal preference of course but here's my opinion anyway. I think the salty face actually looked really pretty on you. It had a clear olive leaning undertone which I think is actually really flattering on you especially. The self tan you currently use seems to lean more orange/yellow and does not accentuate YOU in the same way. It also could just be the lighting/editing in your videos; hard to say. Also gotta say that pale skin also looks lovely on you!
As a redheaded pale girl, and I mean so pale that I always have to buy the very lightest tint of everything, I hear you! Just mildly darker than dead is amazing!
Some one once told me that if you cant smell your perfume on you but others can its a perfect match for you which is unfair because i put it on to smell all day
My nails become a lot more curved when I use a gel polish that sets with uv. It’s like it pulls it together. Maybe you could try a clear coat of uv as a base for the stick ons?
The first arm you put it on directly instead of the mit first on the other arm, I saw a difference. When you apply directly on it looks darker a little bit

Agree works every time!
Came here to say the same exact thing!
Oh great tip! Thank you!
Awesome tip, thanks for sharing ❤

That red skirt top outfit is one of the prettiest things I've ever seen on you !!!

Came here to say the same. Her ringlets needed to be more wet… they were starting to dry and the “ribbon” technique wasn’t working because of that.
The red outfit looks great on you! Just add confidence and rock it
I agree - very flattering for you, and a really fun color.
Agreed! Own it! It looks great on you!
I agree! When she tried it on she looked just like the model wearing it!
the pink and red 2 piece combo looks great on you. The colors are so flattering with you skin tone and very Summery!!
Your Salty Face pirate impression was top notch!! 😂 You have such a great personality! ❤️
"certified in fsc.. I don't even know what that is, but I'm glad they're certified in it" made me laugh so hard 🤣 thanks for being such a ray of sunshine!

Me too! I love adding 3-4 drops into my moisturizer, especially in the winter.

Absolutely love the red set!!! Looks great on you!
Rach the red dress looks fabulous on you! Definitely a keeper!!
You should try nail glue tabs and liquid nail glue together. The glue tab will help take up the space between your flat nail and the curved press-on, and the liquid nail glue will seal the adhesion. You can do that for just the problem nails.
Rach I use a blow dryer and press on my fake nails while blow drying them to get them flat and it works perfectly!
Use nail stickers! Dashing diva is my favorite
I think the dress looks really good !! 😊
I've been using the Kiss Impress nails for 6 years on my flat nails. They are awesome! They're thin and flexible but also just flatter to begin with, I recommend checking them out!
Peach Skin Sheets are haunting my dreams...would love to see your objective and brutally honest opinion on them!
I loved the red/ pink outfit on you!!! 👌
The 24 hour tan indicates that it likely has erythrulose. It is more expensive than DHA, and takes longer to develop. Its also more expensive than DHA, which tracks with this being more expensive
For the curl brush, hair needs to be wetter and a rotation of the wrist with tension. Kind of like curling ribbon with scissors
OMG you must keep that pink and red outfit! It looks stunning on you ❤
Truly, that vanilla skin fragrance is so unbelievably potent on my friend! She wore it the other day and I stopped her and asked her what she was wearing, and it was this. It was something I smelled as she walked by. So weird how everyone is different!
It's the same on me, the mango mood is also really nice
You should try the Ohora semi-cured gel nails! Since they start out a flexible gel that you stretch to fit, they’re always perfectly tailored to your nail bed 😊
Keep the red outfit, you look stunning in it!
I’ve seen hacks for stick on nails to make them flatter. Get a hot cup of water, warm up the fake nails against the hot cup and flatten them against the side of the cup by pushing them.
as someone with curly hair--it might be better to try the brush when the hair is wetter!
That glow facial really DID make a difference! It was very pretty.
Big thanks to your sister and niece for helping with the video! ❤
I have the opposite nail problem. Two of my nails on each hand are curvier than any tips. I've been using nail wraps. I love LovelyHello brand
Can you do a tutorial on your current go to makeup and hair looks please?
I feel your nail pain. Throughout my clumsy existence I have had multiple nail flattening escapades. I also have flat nails. I say we start a petition. Maybe a sternly worded letter to whom it may concern 😂😂xxx
I think the red dress looks really pretty
I have flat nail beds too. I used to get them done all the time with acrylics. I've never had press ons last very long on me before they start popping off
For flat nail beds you can choose one size larger and file the sides to fit. I can usually get them to work that way
You should try Dashing Diva’s nail sticker sets. They are SUPER adorable and last long. I would wear each set for 2 weeks and they even stand up working full time at a barn! All for only $8 per set
Happy Hippo is a Canadian brand that makes THE cutest bath products for kiddos! My 3yo niece is obsessed and she experiences zero irritation!
I’m so happy you tested an herbivore product. I really like them 💜
Their Pink Cloud product is my favorite. It’s fantastic where I live (high desert, extremely dry here)
I wonder if Chris can smell the vanilla scent that you can't!
Wait..what….Vanilla Skin smells so good and is very strong, in a good way! lol not overwhelming but so lovely!!
The red outfit looks fabulous on you. Try washing it. It might take out a little bit of the shine, but it’s a keeper for me.
That red pink dress is gorgeous!! ❤
Love u and your videos
Glad u r feeling better!
They look like candy but I definitely agree blue and green are needed!
Rachel’s pirate but with Saltyface was so good 😂
I swear I’ve seen commercials with nails that go on like a sticker, then become hard when you add their special polish to them. I have the same nail issues. Mine get weird ripples in them if I let them grow out too long despite trying to take vitamins.

Ohhh we here right away today. Perfect timing for lunch!
I’m picturing you asking Chris about the perfume and it being the one thing he can smell lol!
The red and pink outfit is beautiful on you Rachel
Red/pink outfit looked adorable on you ❤💃
Have you ever tried Doonails press on nails ? They’re very supple so probably easier for flatter nails.
@RachhLoves I’m wondering if…for the nail things and the flat situation, couldn’t you warm them up with a heat gun and then reshape them? Dude i love ur vids !! Keep doing the fab job u do!❤
Love the shorts! So cute for summer
I loved that top and skirttttt, I would try both pieces separately.. the top with a blue pair of jeanssss chef kiss
I like the red/pink thing on you, but the fabric did look a little unusual.
Definirely keep the 2 piece dress! Looks great on you!
I have some flat nails and I use the nails which are slightly smaller for those nails, heat them up with my hairdryer and squish them on until they cool down. Much better shape and no pain 👌 ❤
HOLY MOLY. I NEVER REALIZED THAT MY NAILS WERE FLAT AND THAT WAS PART OF MY PROBLEM.
That blue shirt is so pretty on you!
From the comments there are quite a few flat nail divas here so an episode on different things you can do to tey to wear false nails with the tips shared in the comments and abything else you can find would be great 😁
Will you be trying Blake livelys new hair line? Would love to hear your review
The red skirt and top looked good on you
It's always fun and interesting to see what the video has in store. Thank you for sharing ❤😊
Rachel for the nails have you tried softening them maybe 30 secs under the uv light or even under the hairdryer just until they pliable, just a thought like 😊
LOVE Herbivore. Their stuff is quality - packaging, products, ethics - all amazing!
I think YOU look great in the Lula set, but you’re right about the fabric. Hate to say it, but the sheen, at least seen through the camera, makes it look kinda cheap. But maybe the camera emphasizes the sheen? Hopefully?
Try the dashing diva gel nails. That would probably work nice for your flat nails.
These videos make my day!
I like the shorts and the dress! Keepers
Hi Rachel! Take absolutely the red dress pleaseeeee!❤🌹🌹🌹🇮🇹
So you should try a soft gel tip system, like btart box nails. Not super curved and you can fill in the space on flat nails with the gel glue
Rachel, my love, you can use clear gel to build a faux curve to your nails. Then just stick the press ons on over top.
You’ve probably already tested them, but I’ve fallen in love with Ohora nail stickers. They are stickers so they shape to your nail but then you cure them and they become hard. Lasts really well for me as a nurse and mom too which is quite a test 😅
❤❤❤ red outfit.. yes
I liked the last outfit on you. Hope you keep it
*me spraying Vanilla Skin on myself right as you bring it up* 😮
You should start doing polygel nails at home. That way they customize your own nail bed.
Self tan colours and undertones are totally personal preference of course but here's my opinion anyway. I think the salty face actually looked really pretty on you. Try Lily & Fox nail stickers, so easy and they last for a while - never chip! They’re only $2.99/set!! 😊
Hello!! I love your content ❤
I have the same nail prob!! First two flat, next two curved!!
I need this nail polish colour! Don't usually like brught colours on my nails, but LOVE this. Please share the colour😍
Um, please more Salty Pirate talk 😂❤
You crack me up lol! Pirate rach!!
I work for ulta and I live for this video 😂
As a redheaded pale girl, and I mean so pale that I always have to buy the very lightest tint of everything, I hear you! Just mildly darker than dead is amazing!
I loveeeee Vanilla Skin! It lasts forever on me.
Some one once told me that if you cant smell your perfume on you but others can its a perfect match for you which is unfair because i put it on to smell all day
Keep the dress. It looks beautiful on you❤
You should try using the self tanner with the Tan Fan self tan drying powder to see if it fixes the stickiness
My nails become a lot more curved when I use a gel polish that sets with uv. It’s like it pulls it together. Maybe you could try a clear coat of uv as a base for the stick ons?
Love the red and pink set. Spray it with water. That might take the shine away🤞
Looooooooooove the dress on you!!!
"apply with your hand" - proceeds to use applicator 😂
The first arm you put it on directly instead of the mit first on the other arm, I saw a difference. When you apply directly on it looks darker a little bit
Salty skin has sugar beets and left in a salty mood. 😅
Re nails - have you tried the semi-cured gel nail wraps/stickers? Or the non gel nail wraps? I love them! So easy to apply!
