Hi, Esther. I, like you, resisted the Somnia for too long and ended up getting it last year around this time. It’s a deck that requires much work and it asks for beginner’s mind. When the deck showed you the first card in response to your question “What do you want me to see” it was in fact telling you NOT to see. It’s about being in the dark unable to open your eyes. It’s a deck of sensing, extremely watery. I don’t know if you’ve ever experienced sleep paralysis but it helps to bring that into the mix as it is part of the artist’s therapeutic process with this deck. I’m glad you got this deck. Bruno deserves all the praise he can get!
You had me at "sleep paralysis". I unfortunately experience terrifying episodes of s.p. at times and your insight spurred much curiosity about this deck as explored through that lens.. I was certain I'd never purchase it until now.
@@halcyon_distilledhe has a big guidebook which I think goes more into his choice of symbolism for each card and brings in more about how his experience with sleep paralysis inspired them.
This is awesome, Pedro. Or... telling me NOT to see, so that I can actually TRULY see. Does Bruno talk about the sleep paralysis in the companion book? I didn't buy that - yet - cuz I wanted to get the deck here quickly...

This is the kind of deck where describing the cards as if your were describing a dream really helps to bring meaning forward. the guidebook touches upon some biographical topics about the origin of certain props and how certain figures are from Bruno’s dream paralysis experiences. But it’s more of a coffee table book with rich enlarged images than a guidebook. Unless you’re really interested in that I would probably put that money forward the illustrated edition which, like someone else noted, includes the same text as the guidebook. Either way Bruno’s done videos and interviews where he talks more in-depth about dream paralysis.
The Mountain Dream reminds me of looking through my parents' photo albums. People I don't know, but also do know in terms of vibe and stories. And I like the round shape of the lavender frames but both are great :)
I love the lavender frame because of their shape and it’s great that they are transitions. Both are cute really- they each have their own vibe. I like to work with the Somnia Tarot that is the illustrated version. I don’t know but the illustrated version connected with me more than the photographic one. I feel like I should give the photographic version another chance after seeing this video. Only a few more days until the 15th!
well you did swap the numbers around... is this like the shell game lol. i like the transition lenses and frames they make you look more approachable and they go with your top. but the dark frames make you look more studious, so wear those to work lol if that helps.

I’m leaning towards my bonestone and earthflesh or the margarite Peterson right now. It is so fun to pull out all my decks and revisit them with you. I want to use them all at the same time!

Hello lovely Esther The Wild Spirit and The Relative Tarot look like they really want to work with you! I love this deck it is strangely chatty, but it let's you think with out telling you much and I love that. The energy of that deck is loving and peaceful with a deep heart and soul that comes forward saying: "Let me help you!" This my 3rd #dropm78 and has been very powerful in the sense that this time around the challenge like you said started the 1st of September look for those decks that want to dance with me during October, November and December for me those months and extremely challenging and difficult so I learned to be careful with my emotions and what I put in my mind to stay leveled and peaceful. I am still struggling with my choices and got two more decks in the mail I did think they would arrive on time, so now I have to rethink my strategy ones more. I do think that Sommia and Relative come together fabulously for you.... Those might be the ones, but they are also very heavy and dark and might not be something you would like to work with for 78 days Your videos challenge me and help me realize so much of the things I need to work with and take care of. Then when things settle down a bit, maybe you'll feel like returning to the lightness & whimsy of the longer hair. Either way, your charisma & wisdom always shine through. :-)
