as someone who started listening to kpop at the very end of 2016 2017/18 are definitely the most iconic years for kpop!! though 2021/22 has also been a strong era imo
I got into kpop sometime in 2016, started college later that year. I still remember BTS's Not Today comeback, the song at first was like "this is just fine, nothing to write home about" but let me tell you, it hits different after you finish your calc3 exam, you have not slept for three days in a row, are starving but you are still running on a treadmill on your top speed, gasping for breath but you can't stop because Namjoon says that *A DAY MAY COME WHEN WE LOSE, BUT IT IS NOT TODAY; TODAY WE FIGHT!!!!*
This 'cute' concept of KPOP was pure gem! I wish we can see it again❤️The new gen kpop concepts are full of complicated costumes and really hard dance choreography( no hate, I love them), but these songs have a really unique different, pleasing vibe with simple costumes, that was gold!
I got into kpop around 2015 and I believe 2015 is the golden year for kpop HOWEVER 2017 is a close second bc some of my favorite kpop songs came in 2017 like Shangri La, Whisper, fingertip, wee woo, chase me, My I… like so many more every time I here them so many good memories… plus thats the year I saw EXO for the first time and it remains one of the best concerts ive been too
Spring day was the song that got me into kpop in 2017, but all i really remember from back then was the big fanwar between armies and onces because of views on knock knock and spring day lol
2017 WAS the year I discovered kpop. Oh my god. Such a fine year. So many great songs. I'm kinda sad I was only really into BTS back than. There were so many fine groups I could have also stanned!!!

kpop in 2012 growing up with snsd (my very first) big bang shinee and exo and proceeding to love 3rd gen so much (day6, seventeen, had an nct phase, twice) and then just being unable to move on somehow because of the amazing experience ive had as a 3rd gen stan. and just wanting to stay there forever this really brought Moments back for me

i became a kpop stan in the late 2015 and the period from 2015 till 2019 was so iconic that every year gave us bops. but 2017 was THAT year. no one missed.
The mvs are so nostalgic, i literally sang every song in the video, if i could go back in time i would go back to 2017 and have the same sensations of listening to them for the first time. 🥰💖💕
2017 was lit
I start listen to kpop since 2012
signal is literally what turned me into a once 🥰
An iconic year, bangtwice becames my ults during it
2017 is actually the year I started listening to kpop ❤
Same
Same
as someone who started listening to kpop at the very end of 2016 2017/18 are definitely the most iconic years for kpop!! though 2021/22 has also been a strong era imo
2017 was dominated by 3 group: BTS Twice and Red Velvet 3 Soloist: Taemin, Sunmi, IU. Iconic
Omg i actually have goosebumps… Time really flew so fast… I really really miss this era, it was never the same ever again. ;(
This 'cute' concept of KPOP was pure gem! I wish we can see it again❤️The new gen kpop concepts are full of complicated costumes and really hard dance choreography( no hate, I love them), but these songs have a really unique different, pleasing vibe with simple costumes, that was gold!
only after watching this video did i realize that most of the kpop albums i own are from this era lol
truly iconic **chef's kiss**
IM SOOOO GLAD WEE WOO IS HERE!!! JUSTICE FOR ALL THE GGs PLEDIS WASTED
I remember how every of these songs were released, it was indeed a great time
i’m so glad that this was the time i really started discovering kpop. the best year for sure.
i became a kpop stan mid-2018 and this is what i mostly fed myself with. This is legend
The fact that signal being hated way back 2017 but still became soty
2017 WAS the year I discovered kpop. Oh my god. Such a fine year. So many great songs. I'm kinda sad I was only really into BTS back than. There were so many fine groups I could have also stanned!!!
I was in Highschool listening to all these. Good times
This is so nostalgic for me because I was 5 when I first listened to kpop because my sister introduced me to it 😭
2017 was the year i really started stanning groups and getting into kpop as more than a casual listener and damn this brings me back
I'm so glad I got into kpop in 2017. Truly a golden year and now I have many memories cause of it.
I joined in 2016 and thank you so much for this compilation, made me feel all the emotions i felt the first time watching premieres of most of these songs.....i'm close to crying omg wtf
kpop in 2012 growing up with snsd (my very first) big bang shinee and exo and proceeding to love 3rd gen so much (day6, seventeen, had an nct phase, twice) and then just being unable to move on somehow because of the amazing experience ive had as a 3rd gen stan. and just wanting to stay there forever
this really brought Moments back for me
such a gold era, reminds me of the old gen when ONLY bops came out🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻
GIRL WHAT UR EDITING IS LITERALLY GETTING BETTER BY EACH VIDEO 😭❤️
Some of my favorites that were not included in this video are CLC's I Like It, Where Are You?, and Summer Kiss as well as HyunA's Babe. 2017 is my favorite year in K-Pop.
This brings back so much memories
I don't think "kpop went downhill" as many are claiming in the comments, I just think that the era of many of our favorite groups that we are emotionally attached to is over and we miss simpler times in our lives
So true
Wow, I started liking Kpop during this year (specifically in Feb. during BTS’s comeback) and it’s crazy to see how so much has changed in these last years 😢
WINNER started releasing summer bops in 2017 with REALLY REALLY, LOVE ME LOVE ME and ISLAND
as a person who was into kpop in 2017 and before i’m glad younger me was happy, excited and having so much fun i remember all these songs coming out. we all enjoyed the songs regardless of which fandom you were from. the nostalgia that this brought hits hard
2017 definitely was kpop golden age, i’m so glad i started listening to kpop this exact same year
edit: i can’t believe you also agree that dramarama and gambler are their best title tracks!!
What i would do to have this kind of year in kpop again.....
only who lived this remember the feeling, i got into kpop in the end of 2014 and 2017 was iconic in so many ways that new kpop fans will never now…
I was just thinking earlier how 2017 was such a good years for kpop, and then I got this in my recommended

Oh really want to go back to this era of kpop. It was so good and iconic.💟💛
I started listening to kpop in 2017 and I think the standard of the releases was so high that I was hooked
man i remember many iconic songs were released in 2017... spring day, mic drop, don't wanna cry, clap, ko ko bop, etc ESPECIALLY gashina. glad i got into kpop in that year and experienced golden moments like bts won at BBMA😭
as if it's your last got me into kpop and I will always love that song and the pinks
this was one of the last years of like, 'traditional' 2010's kpop. so much energy, bright colors, outfits on outfits... also the year kpop really started blowing up. (this was also the last great year of gen 2/3 sm groups (shinee, super junior, snsd, exo) before they turned all of their attention and efforts to nct). so many iconic hits, 2017 was truly a historic year for kpop.
being on the community back in 2016/2017 was one of my best experiences literally bop after bop so many great debuts and albums ughhh I'm so glad you made this video so we can appreciate the masterpieces
