Currently suffering with sesamoiditis and found out through an MRI that I have a bipartite bone on the tibial side. It is a deeply frustrating injury to have acquired. I appreciate the knowledge and information on your video thought, thank you.
Upon evaluating my chronic foot pain for years, i notice my right toe is swollen right at the sesamoid and the long burning feeling I get after running corresponds: my big toe hurts. Its not a super sharp pain. It goes away after 3 days if I dont run. Palpation of both tendons does not stimulate a sharp pain. Either I need an insole, or an ancient fracture .. I dont think muscle tightness could make my toe swell ! Thank you so much for being a beacon for people worried about pain
What I'm interesting in is trying to manage my sesamoiditis in both feet when backpacking with a full pack on the AT. The pack and the trail ups & downs forces the weight to the front. I am currently looking for a hiker with no heel. Will try HOKAS & Altras. I posted my experience on FB AT Woman's Group page and there was a great interest with 137 comments from other AT hikers, many also experiencing similar agonizing pain. I'm sure this is a problem on the other trails as well. I saw two podiatrist. One was too conservative. So, I found a Sports Podiatrist but he prints his own orthotics at $450. That's too much for me. It would be good if a podiatrist could do a video to help us backpackers with a number of foot issues and tips on how to manage them on the trail. Thank you.

I only have one sesamoid in my right foot?
Great video. However, the pain I’m feeling is on top of the big toe joint and not underneath, is this still Sesamoiditis? Thanks
