    Bo Jackson the GOAT! All top Plays, all top runs, all top hits, all tops throws, all sports, the injury, and Bo in 2022. After needing my own hip replacement, its tough to describe the hip pain you endure.
    From broken bones, driving off a cliff, and every injury known to man, the hip tops them all. I thoroughly enjoy chatting when I see someone else suffering, letting them know everything I learned from that painful duration of my existence.

    I went to Auburn with Bo but never had the luck to see him on campus. The greatest accomplishment of Bo was never on the athletic field though, it was in front of the interview mic! When he came to Auburn, he had a stuttering problem. His early interviews clearly show his difficulty with stuttering. Yet, as the years wore on and the interviews continued, he overcame his speech challenges and blossomed into quite a gifted speaker. To achieve that in front of a national audience, no athletic accomplishment or award can ever equal that. That, is Bo Jackson's greatest and most astonishing feat!

      @@user-fk2is1bf3e A) No, I did not. I specifically determined those numbers prior to injury. They just did not change much after injury. Maybe YOU should do your homework before shooting your mouth off. It is not hard to calculate.
      Don't need a crystal ball to know he had no chance. Just need a passing knowledge of what sort of resume is required for HOF. Jackson was NEVER going to reach any counting stat milestones. He was 2000 plate appearances into his career, and had not racked up anything other highlights and strikeouts. And his rate stats. as shown above, were well below average. You don't play baseball your whole life, including 5 seasons in the majors, bat .250, OBP of .308, etc., and then just start hitting .340 with an OBP of over .400, which is what he would need to do to reach an average left fielder MLB HOF'er level.

    • @HyzerFlexOnYou
      @HyzerFlexOnYou 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @bauerj3398 yeah it's easy to get caught up in the highlights. Baseball is a fickle bitch and just bc you have all the speed and strength in the world doesn't mean you will succeed. For what it's worth, I'm glad he played pro football to allow his physical traits to impact the game far more consistently than in baseball.

    • @bauerj3398
      @bauerj3398 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@HyzerFlexOnYou Yeah, squaring up the barrel consistently is not a physical skill that carries over heavily from running and jumping and raw strength.
      Same goes for playing defense. Having all that speed and a big arm are definitely helpful, but a big part of the game is more innate (anticipation, initial read, best route to ball, etc.). Bo, overall, was a net negative defender. He was not bad, like Skates (Lonnie Smith), but he was nowhere near a GG caliber defensive player.

    I've gotta give props to the person or persons that made this video... It was very well made! Bo Jackson was the best athlete on any field on any day. To this day, I've never seen a better athlete. If they could clone people, they'd use Bo Jackson's DNA and there'd be an army of guys that look like Bo Jackson. He was amazing... Its unfortunate that we only got 4 years of him on the football field

    If you didn't get to witness this man play in his prime, I feel bad for you.

    There is a reason they made him uncatchable in Tecmobowl 😂

    • @BBBYpsi
      @BBBYpsi 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      His prime? He was a below average baseball player. Everyone hyped him up like he was some sort of super star. He only had a batting average above the actual team batting average once in his career. Struck out once out of every 2.75 AB's. not a good defensive player & is why they kept moving him around in the outfield. People see a few highlights & get all awe struck Look how powerful he is he broke a bat in half over his helmet & over his leg. My argument to that is he struck out those times but they glorified him after striking out. His year for MLB all star was a joke. At least 5 others deserved it over him but the fans vote. So it was a popularity contest.

    Bo was by far my favorite baseball player as a kid. Just electrifying! I always wish he wouldn't have played football and could've been one of the best that ever played if he would have had a 15 to 20 year career. But he was also an electrifying running back! Especially in tecmobowl 🤣

    I was 17 years old when the Nike “Bo Knows” campaign took off during the ‘89 MLB All Star Game.
    The timing was perfect as he started the game with a lead off HR in the first inning. Bo was voted the MVP of the Game.
    In the NFL, he was a beast of a running back. No defensive player can take him down on a solo tackle collision above the waist.
    Had it not been for the dislocated hip injury in the 1991 NFL AFC Wild Card Game which ended his Football Career and stalled his Baseball Career for 2 years, we may have been looking at only the second athlete in team sports who is in 2 HOFs. The first is Wilt Chamberlain who achieved this in Basketball (NBA) and Volleyball (IVA) which is now defunct.🏀🏐
    To me, Bo Jackson is not only the greatest athlete in my lifetime but possibly in the History of Team Sports. Just like Wilt, Bo did not have any weight training or PEDs. It was all natural muscle fiber. What we call superhuman DNA.
    The complete package: Power, Quickness, Speed, Agility, Timing, and Cerebral.
    All of his gifts were at the All-Star Levels of Baseball and Football. 🏈⚾️
