Agreed so I’ve started to get high ground at start unfold my camping chair near an uav tower and secure my surroundings for the first 5 min of the match then proceed to do my missions. Luckily most of those players don’t have any skills so I can use my executions 😂
I was in a 3-man team the other day that joined another 3-man team (six people), and at the end we met another 3-man team and we all exfilled together on the same chopper (9 people). It was awesome! Nobody shot anybody. :)
Yup, it's good. Was in a 6 man - what was left of 3 teams, bumped into another 6 man - chatted on mics shared some gear and loot, then went different directions. Beautiful moment. All randoms.
Lucky. In my situation, my teammates somehow managed to create six men team. One of them joined random squad in the end and tried to backstab us, but luckily we downed him and he somehow fell from the chopper lmfao
I just wanted to say a massive thank you for doing this video and helping to try and change the way people play this game. It is a lot more fun to join forces and you have proved that it can be a great experience. There will always be that one person who will ruin your play, sure, though if the message can get out there to show a different type of gameplay, many more would want to play it. So thank you. ❤
I ran up on final exfil chopper, 6 man team. I said friendly they dropped me (I thought) self reviving I said friendly. I heard one of them say don't shoot him, stood up take rounds again. I say come on guys, wasn't them at all, they dropped a turret gun and it was shooting me. Guy picked it up, and exfil together. I try to play friendly, as much as I can.
This is why I watch you and Westie, men with etiquette. Keep up the amazing gameplay. Can't wait for Westie to get back from vacation so we can get more of this... gentleman's DMZ.
Just want to share a story of DMZ today. Me and another buddy of mine were deployed in and we were doing missions suddenly we saw that a 6 man team was ripping through the train bullying and killing the team doing the train mission were a lot of AI comes in chopper. We both not onlly took care of that 6 man squad by snipping the shit out of them but also helped that 3 man team to complete the mission as much as we could by destroying those bot helli. At first those people though were like rest of them trying to kill them but when they saw us killing off those bot hellis one after another they respected us. I personally felt so good just by helping them. I guess this is what is lacking in DMZ mode. All these younglings just wanna teamup and go squad hunting on other peeps. Saw a discussion on steam forums of MW2 where they said that people who were mature and aged like 35 and above just wanna do missions and don't really engage in squad fights untill much neede. But younglings just wanna do that.
Yesterday, I was well hidden when I, as a solo, got stuck in the middle of a 4 team fight at the final exfil. I talked to a team and was able to convince them to let me help so we could all exfil but i was leary of it the whole time
I always love seeing how friendly you guys can be, we need more people like you and westie playing, and more people like those kind people you have met in those matches. I am naturally a Solo player and I only group up with my friends, so it can be hard most of the time to not just shoot the world but I try to have a I will leave you be if you dont shoot me way of playing but I do try to help randoms when I am able too.
I had an amazing match where we had 9 people working together against the ai. Complete utter chaos, had to watch your fire which in my opinion was teally fun, and we all made it final extract only having to fend off some final exfil campers. Those campers disnt make it. Goes to show you can still trust people who aren't in your squad.
Hi Stodeh; I am a solo player in DMZ and finding it more and more difficult to do any missions without other player involvement. Whenever I see other players I request to join them but more often than not I am shot at and in turn I have to retaliate in self defence- usually I am killed as its a 2 or 3 man team. There has been instances recently where I requested to join nearby players and I was invited to join a 3 man team- very friendly and welcoming and we exfilled after a while. Yesterday whilst attempting a mission I came across nearby players, again requested but got nothing back; they murdered me. It's just pathetic. BUT, a bit of a bitter-sweet situation last night- I went to exfil near the caves, I was run over by a player which killed me; I then requested to join him (another solo) and much to my surprise he didnt finish me off and he revived me and I joined him on the exfil chopper. There are some people are nice and others who just want to ruin other people's games. I'm not sure how this can be policed or stopped. Has plunder been brought in to try to alleviate the issues faced in DMZ? sorry for the essay- you and Westie are great and I love watching your videos!!!
I haven't played DMZ since Season 2 broke it for me. Tried many times to spawn in with my guns and equipment only to be empty-handed. You tempt me to try again. Your stuff is so great.

I always give everyone a chance to be friendly. Most of the time people are cool but of course you'll get the occasional backstabber. It's what I love about DMZ lol
A couple of days ago I ran solo and waited a little too long to exfil. Ended up on the final chopper, arriving first I knew there would be company. Then I heard the voices and thought I'm gonna get robbed! They asked if I was friendly and asked me to join their team thankfully, it was 5 v 1. Doesn't happen often as so many players are out to loot your stash. Not much trust in the DMZ. 😮

Been playing DMZ since January and the best tactic I found to be friendly in this game is to shoot first and ask questions later cause everybody has different motives on this game and it’s just way easier to do this, I can probably say from the 10 or so games I’ve played today on ashika, on 7 of them this tactic works
That Lachmann mission was a pain, given that those guns are almost useless at range. Ended up downing them with a sniper and then plinking away with the 762…but it took me a while to figure that out. Oh well, it definitely was a challenge!

We nearly floored a group of people and picked them up into a 6-man squad, and went underground for the Koschei Complex run on a whim. All of us were essentially out of plates halfway through, we were living by reviving each other and playing it tactical. No one died and we all managed to escape the complex with the weapon parts. That was a good time, I later added the three we ran the underground with. 10/10 would do it again.

Game needs a way to express you're not a threat without having to squad up. Just because my buddies and I aren't out to kill you doesn't mean we're trying to make a big group, and just because I ignored your squad invite doesn't mean I'm looking for a fight
I always run solo. 80 Extractions now, probably like 30 deaths, 40+ Player kills. The more you play the game the less tolerance you have for other players tbh. I have 2 rules. One, if you don't spot me, I leave you alone. Two, if you're in my way I may not leave you alone. In my way is defined as, if I'm doing a mission and I'm already in the middle of it and you come to do the same mission and you try to attack me instead of leaving, I kill you. I had just spawned last night and went to get a car and was immediately shot in the back and I turned quick and knocked the guy down but it was a duo and the 2nd guy got me. I was pissed so immediately went back in. I did what I needed to do that run but the radiation was moving in on final extract. I was going to let the guy leaving the exfil go but I didn't know it was going to take awhile and he was just sitting in the final extract when a squad pulled up and someone else by car. I was waiting on the roof and it was only 1.30 seconds left. So I said screw it, I ran into the Chopper, killed the guy laying inside of it, knocked a guy at the back and threw a semtex and hopped out the front, shot the next guy putting them both down, switched to a Bryson from my contraband M4 and took out the first guy then second. I got back in the chopper, now it's 60 seconds left. I'm checking the back and front erratically for enemies as I don't have my comms vest I just lost last run. A guy tried to sneak in the side open door and I shot gunned him and killed him. Waited the last 30 seconds and exfil. Now, I could have just died as I didn't have any gear or such to bring to Ashika for a mission or anything so I didn't mind, but the previous duo pissing me off got 4 people killed at final exfil. I now have a no mercy rule unless you show friendliness first. Guilty until proven innocent. I will kill anything moving if I spot you first because 9 times out of 10, that's what you guys do to me. Blame your peers. Don't disrespect solo players. I want no issues, but DMZ players are making me want the smoke. I'm a pretty good COD player who just got into DMZ.
we filled up a chopper with who knows how many players. Everything was fine but ya know there is always one joker in the bunch. When the shooting stopped 3 of us were left standing, but we all got successful exfils. Great fun.
I play a lot of solo just for the thrill of it and the hardest thing is knowing if a team is going to be hostile or not. More often than naught I engage and kill a few of them before they finally make it clear that they want to join up. That often feels like they want to join up only after I've down them. If they had gotten to me first would they behave differently?
Can someone help me figure out why MY name and teammates names in the lower left corner are purple and pink??? It changed by itself with the new season. Example; team calls me GREEN yet im purple... help
Players been friendly in DMZ lately. I was in a team of 4 and met another 4 man team at the airport. We all helped each other and even exfiled together. Hopefully one day I run across Stod and Westie and team up
This is good to see. I play as a solo and i was always friendly. And I got always killed by full teams. I lost alot of progress this way. Lost the chemist gun multiple times after defeating him. So i switched my tactics and now i hunt teams. I prefer what i see in your video. Because that is how i wanna play. Maby COD can do like a karma system or something like that. So you can see in advance if he is willing to betray you.
Last game I played, my two man squad were trying to do the weight limit mission, and were going in with bags full of blue mission items we had spare, such as konni laptops and legion Intel. We came across a squad while doing a hostage, and after a ceasefire tried to team up. I was sending out invites, while the other team were "saying" they were too. Cue 4 players cresting the ridge at us. They were a 5 man team with no intention of teaming up, and after downing three in quick succession got hit by the fourth flanking. I go to my mates pov, and he has watched all three players get picked up by a medic vest while number 4 loots my body. He legged it. Cut to the end of the game. We are racing to final with sod all defensive gear and come across an LTV heading towards us. The player (solo) asks to team up. We send the invite, he accepts and we get out. Players need to start playing this as a PvE game not PvP only, as if you want to slay, go play warzone resurgence.

I get Infinity Wards intention with the Squad joining feature but I don't think they realise that there are far too many toxic players who would rather kill you than actually join forces, especially when it comes to ransoms. Then there are certain missions that can promote camping exfils or trying to wipe teams. DMZ can easily go from fun to frustrating. Currently trying to complete Exfil Tracking.
Do armor piercing rounds penetrate exfil choppers? My squad wiped 6 players trying to kill us on final exfil, we felt so accomplished that entire game... then we got finished by a player shooting through the sides of the chopper as we layed prone. No one made the final exfil.

The fact that you are a team in a hostile environment and the enemy of my enemy is my friend SHOULD mean that other teams support each other, yet there’s no incentive to do so. Yes you want to steal the weapons case, but every other activity is entirely independent of other squads so we really should be looking out for each other. How awesome would it be to have 4 squads stand off against droves of elite AQ in the mall?!?
i set traps and when they get near i send out invites, if they dont join they hit the traps then we mop them up. im also always shooting them out when i see teams near by, im very sneaky so if they refuse i slip off to the side, mark them for my squad then distract them with sniper fire meant to miss, so mmy squad can push up from another angle... lol cod heros are so easy to trick into pincer maneuvers haha.
Once I find 2 dead buddies, wanted to swap team. This is what I do, even if it was risky, since there must have been players nearby. I left the place quietly, moving away for another mission. A guy killed me from behind, it was the last one of their team. They did it in purpose, I'm pretty sure they was sharing voice information on Discord, since they did not harm the last one. Its cool to befriend in DMZ, but ofc, take care of the consequences.
HHAHAHAH my boys and i exfilled with 6 of us yesterday. we were all having a hell of a great time riding around in the pinto with it completely full and people standing on top hahahhaa

I tried being friendly ONCE when I was with my squad exfiling the weapon case in Ashika Island. I was dead and what do the invited players do? Deadass loot all my stuff when I was being raised. Comms vest, 2 insured weapons and large backpack. 😔
I do this all the time, hence why I'm almost always in a 6 man squad. Be friendly and the game is alot easier. Also USE YOUR MICS! Yesterday I was at final with my team and a squad was rushing trying to get in. I was screaming at them to tell us if they are friendly or not and they wouldn't respond. It was a solid 20 seconds until take off, all they had to do was use their mic. Instead they start shooting and refused to talk. So guess what happened, they got killed and left behind. Why are people so dumb on this game?
I wish they would create some kind of honor system that other players could see above the other players in DMZ. That way you would have a better idea if they are friendly or not.. the more players they kill in dmz the worse their honor would be . Something along those lines would stop alot of betrayals etc
Just saw the first 2 minutes and I just want to state that everyone.! and this is a fact btw- can leave on final exfil without having to die and lose what progression they've made if you just don't fight for it. There is no reason to fight. Just leave together! I've exfiled with 4-5 different squads in the same chopper and it's fkn amazing with everyone chatting it up and shooting jokes instead of bullets. I go into dmz for the pve aspect and of course for the experience of playing alongside multiple 6 man squads and accomplish much more than a single squad ever could in a single deployment. I avoid shooting at other players unless I have to and even then I almost never fire back, if you chased me and cough me it obviously means that much to and my round ends there. There's always another round to play.
play through alone in mw2 campaign on veteran. And keep that mission and slow play style in the back of your head. Check door before rushing outside. Watch towers alleys and your surroundings. Before entering an area get an overwatch of the land. Select your fights, dont let them find you. Dmz is fun but as a solo. It's annoying to have a +1 at times.

I would recommend you get a comm vest if you can and avoid contact with enemy teams

Been stuck on that mission for all of season 3. Too many sweats and not enough back up from randoms. I've only been able to tag 1/4 helos.

Now, I could have just died as I didn't have any gear or such to bring to Ashika for a mission or anything so I didn't mind, but the previous duo pissing me off got 4 people killed at final exfil. I now have a no mercy rule unless you show friendliness first. Guilty until proven innocent. I will kill anything moving if I spot you first because 9 times out of 10, that's what you guys do to me. Blame your peers. Don't disrespect solo players. I want no issues, but DMZ players are making me want the smoke. I'm a pretty good COD player who just got into DMZ.

we filled up a chopper with who knows how many players. Everything was fine but ya know there is always one joker in the bunch. When the shooting stopped 3 of us were left standing, but we all got successful exfils. Great fun.
I play a lot of solo just for the thrill of it and the hardest thing is knowing if a team is going to be hostile or not. More often than naught I engage and kill a few of them before they finally make it clear that they want to join up. That often feels like they want to join up only after I've down them. If they had gotten to me first would they behave differently?

Players been friendly in DMZ lately. I was in a team of 4 and met another 4 man team at the airport. We all helped each other and even exfiled together. Hopefully one day I run across Stod and Westie and team up

I play as a solo and i was always friendly. And I got always killed by full teams.
I lost alot of progress this way. Lost the chemist gun multiple times after defeating him.
So i switched my tactics and now i hunt teams.
I prefer what i see in your video. Because that is how i wanna play.

Most of these people hunting squads and killing teams can’t cut it in warzone so they play dmz to make themselves feel better.

Last game I played, my two man squad were trying to do the weight limit mission, and were going in with bags full of blue mission items we had spare, such as konni laptops and legion Intel. We came across a squad while doing a hostage, and after a ceasefire tried to team up. I was sending out invites, while the other team were "saying" they were too.
Cue 4 players cresting the ridge at us. They were a 5 man team with no intention of teaming up, and after downing three in quick succession got hit by the fourth flanking. I go to my mates pov, and he has watched all three players get picked up by a medic vest while number 4 loots my body. He legged it.
Cut to the end of the game. We are racing to final with sod all defensive gear and come across an LTV heading towards us. The player (solo) asks to team up. We send the invite, he accepts and we get out.
Players need to start playing this as a PvE game not PvP only, as if you want to slay, go play warzone resurgence.
I got on the final chopper. Another solo was in residence. We exfilled. Nothing was said.

I get Infinity Wards intention with the Squad joining feature but I don't think they realise that there are far too many toxic players who would rather kill you than actually join forces, especially when it comes to ransoms. Then there are certain missions that can promote camping exfils or trying to wipe teams. DMZ can easily go from fun to frustrating. Currently trying to complete Exfil Tracking.
I've never seen a team skilled enough to hold someone for ransom. 😂

Do armor piercing rounds penetrate exfil choppers? My squad wiped 6 players trying to kill us on final exfil, we felt so accomplished that entire game... then we got finished by a player shooting through the sides of the chopper as we layed prone. No one made the final exfil.
More content like this please! The fact that you are a team in a hostile environment and the enemy of my enemy is my friend SHOULD mean that other teams support each other, yet there’s no incentive to do so. Yes you want to steal the weapons case, but every other activity is entirely independent of other squads so we really should be looking out for each other.
How awesome would it be to have 4 squads stand off against droves of elite AQ in the mall?!?

i set traps and when they get near i send out invites, if they dont join they hit the traps then we mop them up. im also always shooting them out when i see teams near by, im very sneaky so if they refuse i slip off to the side, mark them for my squad then distract them with sniper fire meant to miss, so mmy squad can push up from another angle... lol cod heros are so easy to trick into pincer maneuvers haha.
Once I find 2 dead buddies, wanted to swap team. This is what I do, even if it was risky, since there must have been players nearby.
I left the place quietly, moving away for another mission.
A guy killed me from behind, it was the last one of their team.
They did it in purpose, I'm pretty sure they was sharing voice information on Discord, since they did not harm the last one.
Its cool to befriend in DMZ, but ofc, take care of the consequences.
HHAHAHAH my boys and i exfilled with 6 of us yesterday. we were all having a hell of a great time riding around in the pinto with it completely full and people standing on top hahahhaa
I'd love to see a "I'm calling The Boys" video for DMZ where everybody just ganks the first squad to pop off at another group of players on purpose (outside of hunter contracts perhaps)

I do this all the time, hence why I'm almost always in a 6 man squad. Be friendly and the game is alot easier.
Also USE YOUR MICS! Yesterday I was at final with my team and a squad was rushing trying to get in. I was screaming at them to tell us if they are friendly or not and they wouldn't respond. It was a solid 20 seconds until take off, all they had to do was use their mic. Instead they start shooting and refused to talk. So guess what happened, they got killed and left behind.
Why are people so dumb on this game?
I wish they would create some kind of honor system that other players could see above the other players in DMZ. That way you would have a better idea if they are friendly or not.. the more players they kill in dmz the worse their honor would be . Something along those lines would stop alot of betrayals etc

Just saw the first 2 minutes and I just want to state that everyone.! and this is a fact btw- can leave on final exfil without having to die and lose what progression they've made if you just don't fight for it. There is no reason to fight. Just leave together!
I've exfiled with 4-5 different squads in the same chopper and it's fkn amazing with everyone chatting it up and shooting jokes instead of bullets.
I go into dmz for the pve aspect and of course for the experience of playing alongside multiple 6 man squads and accomplish much more than a single squad ever could in a single deployment.
I avoid shooting at other players unless I have to and even then I almost never fire back, if you chased me and cough me it obviously means that much to and my round ends there. There's always another round to play.
Is there a setting like AUTO equip equipment when empty like self res or stun grenades etc??? Or is a PC thing??
play through alone in mw2 campaign on veteran. And keep that mission and slow play style in the back of your head. Check door before rushing outside. Watch towers alleys and your surroundings. Before entering an area get an overwatch of the land.
Select your fights, dont let them find you.
Dmz is fun but as a solo. It's annoying to have a +1 at times.
