I’ve found vamp to be pretty solid for hermit purple too, especially sbr since you have sun coverage everywhere except the plains and vamps moves give options for situations hermit purple would usually be stumped in (enemies camping? Stingy eyes is way better than a predictable, easily parriable grapple and can combo with vine slap, vamp freeze is really easy to hit with the traps and can lead into massive combos and forces enemies too look in one direction, helping mitigate the barrage problem)
So, to sum it up for ya, use stands that are meta and use good specs such as hamon boxing pluck. Also use stands with time stop resistance, and try to pb and outsmart your opponent

My fist experience with sbr was being lost in the arctic figuring out the horse heat and stamina system and being mercilessly murdered by someone running on foot with hermit purple despite my protests that I don’t even know the route and wasn’t trying to win. This has forever tainted by opinion of wiping and I am now a shameless teamer in sbr
Here r a list of some of the best stands to wipe SBR(tried to order): Mih Scr Star platinum Kcr Kc Cmoon Anubis Those are all incredibly good at wiping, but by far the best is MIH, you are so fast you don't need a horse your pluck combos are great you have the best mobility in the game you have some strong attacks you can easily target one person its near impossible to escape you have knives with short cooldowns, you have it all And, across all stands, the best possible way to fight teams is to isolate them into 1v1s, which is why mih is so goos you can isolate them into 1v1s easily, and another way way get easy kills is to isolate them in devils palm which mih can also do And as for stands, stay away from ts stands and instead go for big damage in small duration

I have a tip if you trap them and they already wasted their barrage then use the second trap vine slap 3 m1s and zoom punch then another m1 and scarlet overdrive its a ton of damage and at the end if they manage to catch you in a barrage its still less damage than what you did to them
another 2 good hermit tips: if u get them in a vine trap do barrage finisher(T) , so if they barrage it gets cancled, they cant even perry it. another tip as hermit purp: if you get your vine trap 2 off you can do confirm into vine trap 1 , or if you get a block break from vine whips, you can confirm into vine trap 1
if you prefer playing a more cowardly/zoning playstyle and wanna do this i would recommend either TWAU or Aerosmith aerosmith because after the buff it can perform outside of a purely support role (also an hp tip is that your double vine slap outranges every barrage in the game except aerosmith)
KC(Hamon) is better for wiping. You can escape ts with TE. But with HP... just block everything. Everyone in Casual SBR is horrible and they never block.

I'm weird and use hermit + pluck... Because vine-trap into pluck lines, then finishing off with whip is stupidly fun. Probably not optimal, but very fun and really flashy.
When using hp i use mastered sunlight yellow along with the normal maxed out hamon besides moves, maxed out stand skill tree, and 1 sturdiness with 1 regen. Very good build to combo with
How to wipe sbr: stay away ftom big group look for people thats alone kill them or spy on the big group and wait for one of them to get lost and kill them last one dont die (work for me)

to me this is the perfect sbr team for causal :the hand hamon/sp boxing, Hermit purple hamon, and Crazy diamond boxing. 2 big sources of damage and 1 healing source, a perfect balance. better to use sp boxing than th hamon. has th can be pb realy easily

Fun fact U can’t solo wipe in iPad/mobile at all Since u can’t fast heal aka posing unless u use robux for the custom pose(uzu where is the pose button for mobile) And with hermit purple on iPad/mobile That’s even more useless In conclusion,don’t go to sbr if ur mobile unless u have a whole squad

I found a hacker with it once and he was afk I got him half but he ran with this speed hacks so if they don’t have speed hacks it will work
