I'm aware of that, hence I didn't say it happened when he was a child. I only used that clip to illustrate that, as it's the only time we see a younger Tony pass out and hit his head
37:12...trivia: Steve Buscemi a former FDNY firefighter, was at ground zero, rejoining his department voluntarily, the next day after 9/11. His co-worker from the 80s, John Costelloe, former FDNY firefighter, (r.i.p.) played the part of Jim "Johnny Cakes" Witowski. Tony Blundetto's character first appeared on season 5. That means Steve joined the cast in 2003, two years after September 11, 2001.
Thanks for sharing that, I love an obscure fun fact. It's kinda hard to imagine Steve Buscemi as a burly fireman capable of lifting someone out of a burning building
35:00...Tony's grief over Pie-O-My. It wasn't about love of animals. It was love for beef and sausages by the carloads. The Philly cheesesteak that got away. (mortadella is made of donkey meat, no?)
Yup! That was the point of no return for me too. Any theories as to why we didn't realise sooner? looking back at there were countless signs that he was a "malignant c*nt": how he treated his sister, the constant infidelity and him taking advantage of his friends gambling addiction...
@@ThisIdiotsOpinion because pussy was a rat, Ralphie was worse, and Tony B was a mercy killing so we made excuses for Tony. To murder a man he considered a son and felt happy about it was too far.
I literally had the same sort of oh wow when he killed anyone , but chrissy??? Caputz?? Chrishstephu? I made Tony explode with my mind 🤦🏾♂️ so infuriating
When it comes to Tony grieving puss, in retrospect I think the way he acted when Pussy went missing WAS the grief. He'd already been told that Pussy was a rat, Paulie starts investigating and he vanishes without a trace? Tony knew then, deep down, that Pussy had flipped, and started taking measures. This is confirmed in the fish dream, when Pussy (Tony's subconscious) says "You passed me over for promotion. You knew". Tony knew 100% (even if he couldn't admit it to himself) and that's why the grief/depression hit him so hard. That's when Pussy "died" in his mind. Everything after that was just denial and procrastination. Tony kept holding on to the hope that something would exonerate Pussy, that he could somehow get out of killing his friend, even as the evidence stacked up.
Ask 3 random people to explain in as much detail the difference between a duck and a goose. Unless you live near a farm chances are all 3 are replying with “I don’t know”
you know, I dont usually like commentaries like this but you understood the plot and show well and even though ive seen it from start to finish 2 or 3 times you pointed out things I didnt quite catch.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad a Sopranos vet like you was able to enjoy it. Let me know if there are any other Sopranos topics that you'd like me to cover
You can’t tell the difference between a goose and a duck? Yet you’re waxing poetically about foreshadowing and character complexities? Did you wear a helmet on the bus as a kid?

Hi, Tony passing out and hitting his head was at a far younger age than when the hijacking his nephew did happened.

Oh shit! A new small channel Sopranos upload that’s cohesive & insightful! Time to sit back & relax for an hour & five 😌
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. Let me know if there are any other Soprano topics that you'd like me to cover
42:19 That and food. The misery of others and food.
This was great 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🌟🌟 thx!!
I defended tony until the murder on Christafuh. Thats when he became unredeemable to me.

Irredeemable for a person. Unreedemable for money, etc. wait. He’s kind of sub- human. You may be right. Just sayin..

The claim that "normal" people dont know the difference between a goose and a duck is asenine

I loved it when T rubbed Chrissy out 😊
me to i love how he looked so unbothered like he was just crushing a bug underfoot makes him look so powerful just snuffing him out with his hand
Why? I've always thought it was meant to be very uncomfortable scene which shows how evil tony is
Pretty good video. Still the wrong choice in music but at least it's not too loud
