No soil, no watering required, growing Celery doesn't cost anything I hope you will like it! Thank for your watching and don't forget subscribe my channel ❤
I use A LOT of celery! I have used this method for several years. WHEN I get a surplus I use my dehydrator and dry it, then I vacuum seal it into jars for soups, etc. It is a beautiful, healthy and fragrant plant…and I never have to purchase it!
It's really cool to see people growing their own food. It would be great if more people acquired this habit. In addition to improving our health by consuming healthier foods, we contribute to preserving our planet by reducing the use of pesticides. Congratulations on sharing your knowledge and experience with us.
If you haven't tried it out so far, just do it! In case you haven't much space available you just carefully select what you are planting. Maybe cabbage or potatoes don't make sense because they need too much space and it takes too long. But there are definitely things worth growing. Easy and quick wins are tomatoes, ginger, garlic, beets or (Bell) peppers and obviously any kind of herbs such as basil, thyme or rosemary (man, I love the smell!)
I am a grower, but I avoid plastics, my opinion is that plastics constantly release something, they are broken down by plant and soil acids. I use glass and pots (flowerpots) made of fired clay, my feeling. Such cultivation satisfies me. Plastic is the way of mammon and business. No one ever dealt with its harmfulness, complaints about harmfulness had to give way to profit. It is slowly killing humanity.
This is Asia! They grow fish almost without water, in slops! Just to make money! They also love to use terrible chemicals there. I don’t trust these growers. Poor countries, large families, they need money. They are not interested in anything else.

Спасибо. Еще бы найти сельдерей вообще для начала выращивания. А то у нас только уже отрезанные верхушки есть,даже без листьев. Орхидеи красивые и мощные.

Did you watch the video?? The guy tells you how often he changed the water. Roots, nutrients? Just put the thing in water and nutrients if you want. You're required to think on your own a bit here too.
He did not share tips on nutrients. Maybe he is using then same nutrients use in hydrophonics. They put these nutrients in the water. It is impossible to grow greens that size just by simply tap water.
@@jcproject6408 I think that he is using hydroponic mix, that's my first conclusion. I think we should add plant nutrients and it is considered a personal choice about what should be added. That's why I made the first comment, that we should do some thinking for ourselves also. You and the other fellow are right though, he could have given clear details about what he added. I just thought it was left up to us.
Honestly, this is looking much like what I was harvesting in my garten in traditional soil. I wonder how this method can compete nutrition- and taste-wise. I also tried to regrow celery from store bought plants (in soil) but never succeeded to grow a healthy plant.
@@marielosarias6403 There's plenty of food that you can grow when it's not edible anymore. The following are not really "from stem" but instead from bulbs or rhizomes and they work pretty good: Onions, garlic and leek work pretty well. Potatoes should not be eaten anymore when they start sprouting but you can simply plant them in soil. Ginger and tumeric work well, too. Of course for the latter you need some patience to grow them. If you want to plant something from seed tomatoes work fine and fast. You could even try to use the seeds of store bought tomatoes; however since most of them are hybrids the fruits will not look like the ones you bought. I threw some store bought tomato scraps on the compost and they grow like weeds. They look different but they are nonetheless delicious.

I was thinking that. The point of growing in soil is to help the roots extract minerals & phytonutrients that we benefit from. But they would get some from rainwater, maybe not as much, but it’s better than nothing.

Of course you have to start with the seeds and the earth! the celery you buy from the greengrocer has no root. This is a job that you can only do starting from a plant grown in the ground and harvested with a large part of the root system. Frank from Italy. Ciaooo
Is celery other name for coriander? if yes then you have to break the seeds into two parts and spread them in soil. Then sprinkle a layer of soil and compost mixture and sprinkle water every day. After few days you can see the plants growing.
Celery prefers a pH of 6.5 and an EC level of 1.8 to 2.4. Set your timer to run your pump four times a day for no longer than 30 minutes per cycle. Hydroponic solution should be fully changed out about once every two weeks to reduce the accumulation of nutrients, fungi, and bacteria in the system.
