hippies are just horrible people who pretend to be nice and punks are nice people pretending to be horrible, thats the most refreshing take ive seen in such a long time.
@@Otheisis not really. If you're actually just nice, why do you need to lie and say that you're not? Maybe you could say it makes him less humble but not really less nice. No paradox or anything like that here

Diogones the "Cynic" who once told Alexander the great to stand out of his sunlight which what he actually meant was to undarken Diogones. To enlighten Diogones. Cheers!
That was actually brilliant. Congratulations Frankie on finding a real punk! Sometimes a movement is best described by people right in the middle of it who have precious little idea what its supposed to be about but like the clothing choices, which is most people.
A kind American living in the UK wanting Trump to win the US election explaining why that is best for the entire planet and all that collectively lived on the thing called "Earth" for the last 4 billion years after life itself popped up back in the day, discussing "freedom of expression" and without you mentioning the utterly weird stuff life itself did half a billion years before humans evolved. You may ponder "short-term profit" as a religious belief, of course since it looks like Earth went for the "long game" (awesome dinosaurs included for a brief moment in the temporal scope of a few hundred million years of things) while "Commercial Economics" seems to prefer daily of quarterly profit margins as the solution to the age of the Universe. It is interesting to ponder as we all know that the end is either the Big Rip or a Big Crunch/Bounce so violent that not even protons would survive long after we all have died in advance of the temperature projections for 2100 (only 75 years away). Nihilism is great 😀
The best part started @0:10 its was quick but also the best presentation of Punk I have ever seen. I am a punk and this guy embodies us. We don't give a single fuck, we wear whatever we feel like (usually torn up clothes or something against the norm), and we eat whatever too. We didn't ask to be here and we don't feel responsibility for our ancestor's mistakes. Live your life and enjoy it, scream while you're at it if you wanna. 🤘🏼🤟🏼🤙🏽
"We don't give a single fuck" - what does that even mean? I thought mostly psychopaths had those traits. "We wear whatever we feel like" - yeah, so do I. Sometimes I wear stuff I don't like though - like jeans with holes in the pockets because I don't have it in my budget to spend money on new clothes. And if you don't care, how come all punks were clothes that look similar ("usually torn up clothes or something against the norm"), it's almost like you spend an awful lot of time (and money - I could never afford all those tattoos and accessories the guy in the video have) to fit in with you ingroup... Sorry for being boring as fuck, but come on - enjoy your punk life, but don't fool yourself. In the end it's just another superficial, conformist lifestyle choice in the machinery, still dependent on capitalism and the government.

The rivalry was much more nuanced at the time. It was mainly regarding the Punk's attitude for direct action and being against pacifism, it has nothing to do with being "nice". Hippie culture was quite hypocritical since many, despite criticizing the system, ended up contradicting their ideology by working for big companies, having an upper middle class background and became pro capitalist. Most Hippies did nothing for the advancement of very important civil causes with some exceptions. Ironically, I've seen plenty of Punks being complete assholes while having no aim at all and as a sub-culture it mostly died out, was super marketed from the start and plenty of guys went along with it because it was trendy and cool which completely overshadowed those that had an actual political stance for social change.
Yep - it was a garbage movement mostly. The Dead Kennedys were okay, stateside, but much of that was a fashion statement. Just young people with heady ideals - rebels without a clue. The London scene was just a fashion statement.
Hippies go on about how bad the world is ( wile living off their parents money and being part of the elite class ) and don’t do anything to change it and punks are more about immediate action which is why the punks in the 70s didn’t like the hippies from the 60s.
Nah - both movements were full of ideologues and morons, with exceptions, as ever. Much of the immediate action of "Punks" was spitting at the band, drinking cheap cider, puking in the gutter and smashing telephone boxes.
Thank you for sharing the album cover of Sex Pistols, as I felt strangely lost as an old punk while watching this relating to nothing except the hints of smell 👍 (Punks are better than Hippies because generations mix shit up always as proven by late Dadaists, now better known as sad contrarians at the bottom of internet comment fields)
Also that punk vs hippy saying was totally got off me :P although I can't claim it as mine, it's a semi common sentiment in our circles, but not always 100% true, just a general rule.
There's a man judging a man for being happy without having to work for a job Guess the one who's happy ? The one who judge someone for being happy or the happy person ? LMAO
His description of punk vs hippie was crazy spot on lol
It honestly really was
It's also something that's been cycling around internet for a while and deffinetly are not his own words

Wouldn't say all hippies are terrible people. They just don't do anything to change things. Punks will show up when racists go on the march.
No

Punk: I dont want my house to piss on me
Frankie: Yeah you have people for that

CEO
All his patches and band shirt are for metal bands.
I was just gonna say, his shirt is Watain, and I think I spotted patches for Bethlehem, Darkthrone, and Dopethrone.
I only spotted one Crass tattoo but it's kinda funny ngl.
You missed the GG patch on my balls
I see a GG Allin patch on the pants.
Scandalous! How dare he enjoy multiple music genres!
He skipped his big job interview with the bank, and the time he devotes to volunteering at an animal shelter to do this video with Frankie.
This is the first time I see someone using a fake bloodied bandage as a fashion accessory
Like, are we sure it's fake?
He did say he likes getting beat up to music, could be real blood.
Tbh it goes harder if it's real but still hard if it's just a look.
watch again and look those knuckles on his left hand; head wounds are punk as fuck
Thought he was brain bleeding the whole time.
Man i love Dopethrone
He is the walking dead Punk. As you can see on his hippie head band.

Didn't think you'd find an actual punk, almost rarer than a goth.
interview the cameraman, the stories he must have
Dudes bleeding. This is the most hilarious interview.
This is a comment on an episode of tube chat
