Awesome brine! I like everything you put in it, so it can't be bad. That might be a dangerous bridge to cross by the way -givin up grandma's recipe, woo lawd! Braver man than I. Lol. Got my Gateway in and have used the heck out of it. Cooked 3 rounds of chicken thighs and quarters, also sausage. Got a butt on right now looks like it's going to take about 7 hours, but I've been keeping it dialed back. I'm using the built-in thermometer, but you're right -it does register cooler than the grate temp by about 25 degree in mine. I've just been doing the math and using it. I'm really impressed how that thing will lock in a temp and just hold it for hours. No babysitting. I've had to learn to work quick when taking the lid off however. Anyway, so far I'm loving it. I think I've found the one. I appreciate all your help on the topic, brother. Have a great weekend! Thanks for the video too.

Thanks for watching I really do appreciate your support. And so glad I was able to help you on your decision for a new smoker. That means the world to me that you even asked my opinion. 😀😀 I’m sure that drum will treat you good. It’s sounds like you breaking it in good. I run my drum at 300 most of the time. Hot N Fast lol it hasn’t let me down yet. I got first place ribs using the gateway drum. And 4th place brisket with it. And I plan on using it this year as well. Hope you have a great and blessed weekend.

Thanks for watching brother Ric I really do appreciate it. Yeah it’s good on chicken as well. Just remember to use a herb seasoning on it. I don’t think it go good with bbq but it might.

Awesome combo of flavors going into that brine! 👍 I would just pass on some advice that was told to me........most of the turkey and turkey breast have already
had a sodium solution added to them....so be careful when using a brine. Make sure it is a fresh turkey as to not have too much salt. Good Vid! 👍 \m/
