- Hundreds of student protesters in Bangladesh, wielding bamboo sticks and plastic pipes, assaulted supporters of ousted PM Sheikh Hasina, preventing them from reaching the home of her late father, independence leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Hundreds of Bangladeshi students patrolled the site of a planned gathering Thursday of ousted premier Sheikh Hasina's supporters, vowing to quash any show of strength.
