Buddy!! You have maybe just made my life abundantly easier!! My heater hose is stuck in the smallest irritating place behind the engine, my fingers are cramping as we speak for trying to manipulate different weird positions.
I freakin love you bruh 😂 I'm fightin the one back on the firewall. Was even gonna go buy a tool to make this easier. Gonna give the zip tie a try. Thanks man
I can’t get the zip ties onto the tabs because I only have one hand to do it with up against the firewall. I can’t get both of my hands back there to do it. Any other ideas? I’ve got three zip ties stuck on the aluminum line now.
@HuntsWorkshop thanks I just installed the new hoses...learned a few new words.... I've already filled the overflow is it too late to do this? Thanks for the response!
Good trick, but forward your piece of garbage I've had these things go on me three times now. There's got to be a better way of just putting a hose on it and clamping it
Google "service wrench." It's a thing. I've never heard these called an adjustable service wrench but it kinda makes sense. Maybe he's Canadian or something?
Thanks for the tip! I just used the zip-tie trick on the firewall connection on my 2012 Expedition and it worked like a charm.
The zip tie trick worked like a champ. Thanks for the tip>
Glad that helped!

I'm going to try the Zip tie method today, thx for the tip.
I personally like to use spark plug pliers if I have the space for it

I wish I would have seen this a few months ago. Those are in fact a handfull
The zip-for the win!!!
Couldn't get any easier.....unless the quick connects were to actually work right...lol
Great tips!
Thank you!! So simple and effective!
Good looking out
About to try this tomorrow
My hero!
Thanks! this is a good tip.
Great tip!!
Thank you best tip ever worked great
Brilliant. Thank you
Had do use a lil bit of grease along with the zip tie...it worked tho😅
90* needle nose pliers if U can't get in there
Your right it never happens 😂
My favorite way is 2 SharkBite 1/2-in PEX Crimp Brass Coupling never spend mor money or work hard
Good tip !!!
Perfect.❤
A service wrench?
Your a god
Im deleting all that quick disconnect, nothing works better then the old school hose clamp.
Another little trick that works on those types of clips is to use fuel line disconnect plies
❤❤

I hate those clips. Thanks for the tip. Ill try next time I need to unhook a hose

Not all heros wear capes! Did you have to bleed the coolant system after replacement?
Yep, I use the cheap OEM Tools no spill funnel from autozone or Amazon, work’s amazing for bleeding and no spills.

You can do exactly that
No, because I never buy GM or Ford I buy Toyota. Toyota doesn’t have problems like that.
It’s hard to argue with the TPS. It produces quality.
but knowing this you can be The Man when you forward it to someone who has GM Ford just give credit where credit is due
Does the truck have to be turned off to change these hose?
Since you’d have the cooling system drained before disconnecting a heater hose, the truck would already be turned off and cool enough to drain, yes.
My tip don’t buy GM or Ford. Buy Toyota or Honda.
What! No way!
It’s a crescent wrench or adjustable wrench. WTF is a service wrench 🔧?

Not so quick huh?
Why not just use some players? They get the job done easier, quicker and less fuss.
