I been living in Marquette since I was 16. And I can say it’s definitely a culture shock compared to major cities as I lived Flint MI before moving to the UP. No crime, no gangs, peaceful, lots of hippies and overall friendly community. The only downside (besides tons of snow and 30 below temps in the winter) living here is lack of good paying jobs and opportunities career wise so lots of people move out of Marquette for that reason. But over the last 7 years they been getting new businesses here. Just opened up a Texas Roadhouse here recently. Glad you guys enjoyed the area and i recently jumped off Blackrocks after chickened out years ago and i agree it’s hard to breathe after jumping in cold. Most people wait till it’s hot enough to jump in because Lake Superior is cold all year long.

Great to see you made it up there! So many other amazing things to see in MQT but that just means there are more for the next time. By the way, thanks for all the videos, my wife and I follow you and a few other families and are purchasing our new 5th wheel and truck as I write this and plan to kick off with our kids this winter for a 6th-month(maybe more) journey!
