I don't own that many fragrances. Around 35 I think, but here goes in no particular order my 10 for life from my, compared to you, small collection. Acqua Di Gio Profumo A wonderful 3 season fragrance. Beautiful and a mature casual summer scent. Terre D'Hermes EDT One of my newest addition and I love it. Dress up or put on a t-shirt. It goes well everywhere and with everything, La Nuit De L'Homme Date or formal or simpy a daily fragrance in the fall and winter. I would love to put on this one when I have to take a walk in the fall and it windy and raining. Bleu De Chanel Parfum One of the best blue scents ever made. Burberry London Very much the same vibes to me as La Nuit, but Burberry London along with D&G The One was my first serious fragrance. So it gets a spot on the list. Mont Blanc Explorer Can't afford Aventus. This is great. A crowd pleaser and fun. Hugo Boss - Boss Bottled EDT A daily wearer. Good for the office and I could even wear it when teaching. Bulgari Pour Homme Soir In my oppinion a criminally overlooked fragrance. Beautiful black tea scent, soft and gentlemanly. Tom Ford Grey Vetiver or Guerlain Vetiver Going for a job interview or a formal event where you don't want to fill the room but want to be a pleasant dinner companion. I couldn't pick between these two vetiver greats. Chanel Allure Homme Wonderful creamy fragrance. This is the original Allure and needs more attention in fragcom. Yes it's not super powerful, but it's classy and a great comforting fragrance. I couldn't imagine anyone getting offended by this one. btw. this was super hard I still would love to add a simple crowd pleaser like Coach for Men as my everyday work scent and I might pick up Pour Monsieur by Chanel tomorrow because it is so damn classy. I suspect that one would make it to my list also.

I don't have so many fragrances, but I would definitely keep these designer gems: 1.VIKTOR&ROLF SPICEBOMB EXTREME 2.ARMANI ACQUA DI GIÒ PROFUMO And if niche had been allowed, it would be CREED AVENTUS (I know about batch variation and über-hype, but I have the fruitier 2018 and 2019 bottles and I love the smell and performance - above-average projection and longevity).
Good day Steven! Got a slight lough about Armaf being niche! This company is cloning fragrances openly and it seems they are proud of their identity. I perceive them even at a lower level than designers. The list is very good by the way. Never get bored of your lists. You get the right balance man!
Nicely done, great list! L'Homme IDEAL is top notch! No designer list is complete without Spicebomb...I can never do these lists, just too difficult. I have Dior - Homme Intense, Versace - Man Eau Fraiche, Mugler, Dolce and Gabbana and Guerlain.

Steven, the way you blend (pun intended) the back story together with the fragrance notes and scent character is seamless and always compelling. Fragrance reviews can often be a bit ‘dry’ and formulaic but these 15 mins zipped by. All the info needed plus interesting little vignettes of your fragrance collecting journey 🙏🏻✌🏻

The first fragrance that blew me away and the tender age of 13 was CK Contradiction then shortly after Clinique Happy.

You should do a list of best bottle designs. Guerlain’s Ideal EDT here is by far the best bottle design on this list. Although, the Dior Homme bottle isn’t too shabby, either. I just received Guerlain’s Ideal EDP with the their new bottle design...translucent sides instead of painted...and, it still looks great! I’ve never tried the EDT, but you’ve almost convinced me to blind buy it.
Thanks to you I bought Tres Nuit at perfumeonline.ca for $24 a bottle regular price and I'm surprised at the similarity to GIT for a small fraction of the cost it's insane, Cool Water is no where near as close to GIT as this is and it lasts a long time, great recommendation. Parfums Vintage apparently has their own upscale clone of GIT with an amped up Lemon Verbena note, have you tried it?

I never expected to see "Tres Nuit by Armaf" While I know it's a Green Irish Tweed Dupe, I personally find it to be mediocre. One I appreciate far more is Hunter Intense by Armaf. They also make comparisons to GIT. The performance isn't great but the scent is really special to me. I always appreciate your honest reviews. I'm with you on tres nuit, eau fraiche, the one and spicebomb(though I prefer extreme). But man I have to have Sauvage edp in my line up. One of the longest lasting, mass appealing dumb reaches at my disposal. I have many backups bottles. Great list though 👌. Take care.

I was really late to the Dior Homme intense party. I blind bought a bottle a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with it right away. I loved it so much i bought another 5oz bottle. That creamy cocoa and Iris is amazing.

Much respect to your list. I truly agree on the A-men, and Dior Homme Intense. I own one bottle of the original Olivier Polge(silver collar) formulation and two Francois Demachy first reformulations. It's my favorite designer scent of all time.

Armaf Tres Nuit is a sweeter version of GIT ,, to my nose Tres Nuit is closer to Chez Bond by Bond 9 than GIT. Green Irish Tweed = bitter green scent Chez Bond or Tres Nuit = slightly sweeter GIT which I prefer

I was really late to the Dior Homme intense party. I blind bought a bottle a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with it right away. I loved it so much i bought another 5oz bottle. That creamy cocoa and Iris is amazing.
Is it still worth getting DHI even thou it’s been reformulated?

Armaf Tres Nuit is a sweeter version of GIT ,, to my nose Tres Nuit is closer to Chez Bond by Bond 9 than GIT.
Green Irish Tweed = bitter green scent
Chez Bond or Tres Nuit = slightly sweeter GIT which I prefer
