Good job, I know the struggle well. Family politics can be difficult. Yeah AA/NA are very intolerant of anyone that doesn't prescribe to their method. Yup heard a million genuine experiences, met a ton of other addicts to hook up with and listened to how I'm doomed if I don't follow their "method" as they drink 17 gallons of coffee and smoke 3 packs of butts. That's when I realized God didn't get me into this mess and he certainly isn't going to get me out. Fast forward 23 years I've been heroin free and still remember their "leader" trying to convince me I'm an alcoholic because I used dope. P.S. Anyone thinking of getting "high" on hard drugs, consider taking Nate's story seriously because you too will eventually end up in several situations where you're thinking OMG this isn't me, I'm better than all these other people. It's a long painful road littered with good people suffering from the consequences of their bad decisions. If you do end up strung out do whatever it takes to accept responsibility and fix your core issues.

Crazy how many of these stories (70% of your interviews) tell the downward spiraling path of doom with opiates and oxy’s… so true mine included.
