I don't think the younger brother was lying on the stand per say.....i really believe he is struggling with his real memories of what actually happened that day, dreams he's had about that day, and also his wandering thoughts about what happened. Like why was Andrea so scared when she didn't see Bree in the bed? Why was fear her first emotion? How long had she and Henry lived at this residence? Where did he work? Who paid the bills? Who purchased the vehicles? Was she aware of his camper and its location? How was their relationship? Was he abusive? Was she afraid of him, and if so, why? Why didn't she tell the police that came to her house, about seeing Bree' with Henry at 3:30? She talked about the night the kids were there, in a weird way. As if they had been to her house a lot, but I thought she said this was the first time they had ever came over, so nothing that happened that night was "usual". Why doesn't she have someone taking notes for her? She should be only focusing on the witnesses. It's probably very distracting to the witness (the child). If she had someone taking notes for her there wouldn't be so many long pauses making the kid uncomfortable and distracted.

The Prosecutor is a wonderful lawyer and she actually seems to care. The criminal lawyer (the lawyer for the defense) seems to me that he woke up on the wrong side of bed and got a frying pan straight to the face when he did it. He is a totally jerk to everyone pretty consistently. However, you have to be a total jerk to try to impeach a mother for letting her kids go over to someone's house, and a 11 year old kid who was one of the last people to see her alive. You have to be kidding me! It's the Mom's fault her daughter getting killed somewhere else? It's DL's fault for being eight and not being clear about what he saw, especially when it was the most painful single point in the kid's life. The kid was a horrible witness. I’m not sure why they had him testify. I think he’s confusing some things he saw with some things he overheard afterwards. I hope Dinkins goes down though.
The young boy was clearly mixing up time frames and events..the before and afters events are confusing with his answers..the defense knows this is a child yet badgering him terribly. Disgraceful questioning.. The whole sequence of events was better explained in opening comments by State..the brother was 8 yrs old..traumatized and 3 yrs ago when this happened. It's not surprising that he's mixed things up while defense is trying hard to expose him as a liar. Even the child could see that and got angry at that fact..I don't see judge or state addressing this cruel attempt.
Also children if they don't like talking about trauma they will describe anything else leading up to, the day of or a few days after the horrible situation to deflect what happened. My youngest son was 10yrs old when my ex husband of 30 years pulled a shot gun on him and me, the first time ever his father became very domestic towards me in front of him or at all and his dad wouldnt come out of the house, our street was blocked off for hours. To this day my son is 15 and he doesn't and won't talk about that day, he will answer things around it, but also the nightmares he has reminding him of this day play over and over, sometimes in a different order, his counselor says this is a coping mechanism so children don't have to relive whatever horrible day they went through. Honestly they should have a license therapist or doctor testify when it comes to children based on what children may do to not be reminded. He was and is a very brave broken young man, not only did he watch his sister be murdered, but he watched his own father do it, so as he gets older he don't have his sister, wont have his dad, and in reality won't have his mom ever be the same again, including him never being the same again! Life is just too sad with things going on, children should never have to be put in situations like this 😢

I am praying for this family the grief that they may feel for this beautiful young ladies death. My son died with his father at 10 months while visiting his grandmother. I felt so much guilty for his death because I didn’t feel like he was prepared to take him in a trip. Not because he was abusing him but because he exhibited overly excited behavior with him. Like the way he held him as an infant it used to drive me nuts. Then he would constantly like to let our son sleep in his chest but he was a hard sleeper and would roll over while sleep and not even notice. We had a lot of first time parents arguments. His family and some friends told me I was being over protective and needed to relax and let him be a father. Against my better judgement and contentious opposition I let them go. His father fell sleep with him on his chest and woke up to my son not breathing. Like why was Andrea so scared when she didn't see Bree in the bed? Why was fear her first emotion? How long had she and Henry lived at this residence? Where did he work? Who paid the bills? Who purchased the vehicles? Was she aware of his camper and its location? How was their relationship? Was he abusive? Was she afraid of him, and if so, why? Why didn't she tell the police that came to her house, about seeing Bree' with Henry at 3:30? She talked about the night the kids were there, in a weird way. As if they had been to her house a lot, but I thought she said this was the first time they had ever came over, so nothing that happened that night was "usual". Why didn't she tap on the window to get Bree's attention when she saw her outside, or go outside and stand with her, ask her what was going on? Why didn't she tell Bree's mother about that incident?

Why doesn't she have someone taking notes for her? She should be only focusing on the witnesses. It's probably very distracting to the witness (the child). If she had someone taking notes for her there wouldn't be so many long pauses making the kid uncomfortable and distracted.

The criminal lawyer (the lawyer for the defense) seems to me that he woke up on the wrong side of bed and got a frying pan straight to the face when he did it. However, you have to be a total jerk to try to impeach a mother for letting her kids go over to someone's house, and a 11 year old kid who was one of the last people to see her alive. The young boy was clearly mixing up time frames and events..the before and afters events are confusing with his answers..the defense knows this is a child yet badgering him terribly. Disgraceful questioning..
The whole sequence of events was better explained in opening comments by State..the brother was 8 yrs old..traumatized and 3 yrs ago when this happened. It's not surprising that he's mixed things up while defense is trying hard to expose him as a liar.
Even the child could see that and got angry at that fact..I don't see judge or state addressing this cruel attempt.
Also children if they don't like talking about trauma they will describe anything else leading up to, the day of or a few days after the horrible situation to deflect what happened. My youngest son was 10yrs old when my ex husband of 30 years pulled a shot gun on him and me, the first time ever his father became very domestic towards me in front of him or at all and his dad wouldnt come out of the house, our street was blocked off for hours. To this day my son is 15 and he doesn't and won't talk about that day, he will answer things around it, but also the nightmares he has reminding him of this day play over and over, sometimes in a different order, his counselor says this is a coping mechanism so children don't have to relive whatever horrible day they went through. Honestly they should have a license therapist or doctor testify when it comes to children based on what children may do to not be reminded. He was and is a very brave broken young man, not only did he watch his sister be murdered, but he watched his own father do it, so as he gets older he don't have his sister, wont have his dad, and in reality won't have his mom ever be the same again, including him never being the same again! Life is just too sad with things going on, children should never have to be put in situations like this 😢

However, as a single mom myself I have to say, my kid at such a young and vulnerable age is going nowhere with anyone but myself and my mother. I am praying for this family the grief that they may feel for this beautiful young ladies death. My son died with his father at 10 months while visiting his grandmother. I felt so much guilty for his death because I didn’t feel like he was prepared to take him in a trip. Not because he was abusing him but because he exhibited overly excited behavior with him. Like the way he held him as an infant it used to drive me nuts. Then he would constantly like to let our son sleep in his chest but he was a hard sleeper and would roll over while sleep and not even notice. We had a lot of first time parents arguments. His family and some friends told me I was being over protective and needed to relax and let him be a father. Against my better judgement and contentious opposition I let them go. His father fell sleep with him on his chest and woke up to my son not breathing. I say all this to say that as a mother and human I know and understand the guilt they may feel given the circumstances. This guilt will never leave them despite what anyone says. The only two people I fault in Brees death is the pos demon and his girlfriend. I wish that those in the comments would not add to this families suffering by implementing the mother and grandmother. ❤❤❤
