I loved having Rob and Sandra in the booth that season sharing their view on things, it made it so much more fun to watch.
I hope Vince comes back for a later season along with Dean, Lauren, Elaine and Janet

I loved Rob and Sandra this season. And all their reactions was like ours at home
Things i really liked about this season destroyed by the Dan situation:
1) Rob and Sandra at tribals
2) cutthroat, unpredictable pre-merge (hi Missy)
3) the final idol hunt prepared by Rob (and Sandra?)
The best part is they spent the rest of their time making a mansion out of bamboo
Sandra and Rob seem to have a little sister older brother relationship and I think that’s adorable

I disagree. It has a great winner and the cast had potential, but ultimately IotI was a meh concept and was executed poorly, and all other problems are the same crap that all the other "dungeons and dragons" (really all seasons post MvGX) era seasons have in common (uninspired challenges, idol overkill, big af merge, etc.)
Rob and Sandra were already ruining it before the Dan stuff
The Rob and Sandra idea was not really game changing but to me it was a fun idea, especially these Tribal Councils. It would've been better if they maybe helped at challenges and not just be these wise hermits in an island we only get to see once per episode. It would've been an average season with an entertaining pre-merge following with an unpredictable post-merge, but yeah, Dan had one too many touches and I'm over here at Episode 10 wishing this slog to be over.
The pre merge wasn’t bad this season, it was until the merger that it went very downhill, but I did enjoy the finale
I agree 100%, i remember saying the pre-merge was one of the best pre-merges in many seasons! The Dan situation literally destroyed the rest of the season.
and if lauren would've been in f3 instead of dean, she most likely would've won.

This is an amazing concept, you’re not sure how these guys are going to be on survivor so as an ace in the hole just have 2 of some of the most popular players as “mentors” so we at least get to see them every episode

This could have been a great season with a great cast but the Dan situation completely took out the sizzle for me.
Even with the dan situation it couldve been salvageable had the producers kicked him off…

It was sad to hear how rob betrayed Sandra in WAW. Especially when these two were so fun together. Rob didn’t tell Sandra he’d be on WAW even though she told him she would. That’s a 39 day buildup smack in the face haha
I’m pretty sure Rob hadn’t made up his mind and was under the impression Amber didn’t wanna go play ever again, so when Amber last minute decided she wanted to play and support her husband, Rob was then definitely playing. Pretty sure they replaced Hatch and Tina on the cast. although everyone just blames the Dan situation on Ritchard Hatches removal, I haven’t seen any other past Male winners besides Ritchard who were contacted and then snubbed.
I honestly don’t think she minded, she one of the rare players who acknowledges it’s a game and doesn’t take it too seriously

I grew up watching Survivor, but I never got to see Sandra's winning season, I only watcher her in this and in Game Changers. I never realized how funny she is. And Boston Rob and Sandra have such good chemistry

This season had a top-tier pre-merge that just fell off the planet after that Merge tribal and what would have been if Kellee stayed, she's the only one that truly deserves a second chance.
Kellee will 100% get another shot to play if she wants it. She took a colossal bullet to her game to help make it more playable for everyone, forever, and really came out of it on the right side of history.
I'm getting angry at Aaron again for that shit he said about Janet.
Sandra was like "yikes, this dude is gonna have a lot of explaining to do when this season airs".

One of the best parts of this season was Rob and Sandra to be honest. It just sucks that the whole bullshit with Dan happened cause it turned what started off as a great season into one of the worst. Even more so considering two of the fellow women in the show used Kim's situation to get them further into the game, WHICH WAS BULLSHIT, EVEN MORE SO CAUSE ONE OF THEM WAS A FORMER OLYMPIAN!!!!!!! Thank GOD ALMIGHTY she didn't win this season

I felt that I was the only one to look at this season in a somewhat good light at the end of the day. I hate what Dan did, but I didn't affect my views on post merge episodes all that much. I feel that everything with Dan aside, it's a middle tier season (around 20th best). But I do understand why Dan's presence ruined the season for many.
Actually, you're not the only one. I actually like this season too, and feel Tommy deserved to win. I don't let what Dan did ruin it for me.
This season would have been top 10 for me if it weren’t for dan every one what a good character Karishma a was the underdog dean was the frontrunner Elian, and Lauren were the really likable people missy the extremely Unlikable person she sucks never bring her back never and Tommy who was the puppet master in the back no one paying attention to him and playing all of them (yea I haven’t watched the older seasons sorry that is why this is top 10 for me)

This season wasn’t that great.
It wasn’t just Dan that made it a bad season. Yes, he was the main reason why people hated this season, but it was also Jamaal who was the one forcing politics down everyone’s throats. And then it was Tommy who won, who was one of the most basic Survivor’s to win the game ever. Not saying he didn’t deserve to win, but all he did was follow Lauren’s every move and did whatever she said. Dean was the one putting in work and is a much more deserving winner.
That being said there were a couple gems in the cast too. Loved Elaine and Janet (she absolutely should’ve won and was about to if she hadn’t been screwed over by the Idol Nullifier).
Andrew Einmo it’s your opinion, but I completely disagree with the entire comment. Dan made the season terrible, and Jamal at f12 told everyone facts, (it’s on TH-cam if you want to view for yourself), and Lauren had her bad episodes and good episodes. One good is probably episode 2 since she showed she can control (although it was an unnecessary blindside). One bad episode is definitely episode 12/ (F7 elim). She didn’t realize there might be an all guys alliance, because she trusted Tommy too much. The reason why Tommy is a very underrated winner is because his social game was absolutely phenomenal. Everyone trusted him, only had his name wrote down twice, and even when he was in danger he was able to get the information of who’s targeting him. Although he didn’t have the “greatest” strategic game. He had one incredible social game. And Dean? Deserving? As much as I enjoy Dean, he didn’t really play a winning game. Sure he got Janet out, but that was only due to a coin flip. And he had a lot of screwups during his game. Voting out Kellee was kinda strange, and he didn’t even convince his allies to keep her. And his move at F8 dig all of his chances of winning the game.
They ruined this season. Time that could’ve been spent to contestants scheming around the camp, was wasted on their stupid advice segments Which proved to be pointless, because the person who won never went to one their lesson talks

This was the dumbest season of Survivor ever. Weird concept, executed poorly, that had no impact on the game. And the most forgettable cast since Thailand. I think the producers just wanted to get Rob and Sandra out to Fiji and throw some extra money their way so they’d agree to do Winners At War.
