My 922 is the same color combo, also two months old, also with retractable sun roof, and coincidentally I too just drove mine about 1200 miles, r/t from DC to Asheville, NC. Not surprisingly, I have the same impression: it is a wonderful car in every way: power with Sport Chrono, great handling in mountains, e.g. on the "Back of the Dragon" (aka Rt 16), it's great fun for everyday errands, and a conversation starter from admirers. LP
The main thing is Boris loves the car and drives it in real world situations. That is what they are made for, not to stay in the garage until tue next cars and coffee.
The base Carrera has enough power for everyday needs. If you live in an area that has 93 octane gas, you can get a tune that will boost your hp because the factory settings are for 91 octane gas.
The base Carrera has a smaller turbo than a Carrera S, not just the software. Yes you can flash a ECU tune to get more power than a standard S but if the S does the same, it will have more power than the tuned base.
Wonder how many “tech experts” commenting are owners. It is simply amazing how often the people that love to correct or provide tech info at every turn, are nothing more than magazine cowboys preaching to the choir. ( are you SURE that base engine isn’t 3.0234 ??? ) 😂
At least in the USA, you can order a model here, pick it up in Germany, drive it around, drop it off, and Porsche will ship it to the USA. I believe Volvo, Porsche, and maybe Mercedes are the last ones? BMW dropped a few years ago. See Porsche's overview here...www.porsche.com/usa/motorsportandevents/deliveryprograms/europeandelivery/

good to know!
@@TrackTested True, but beware - Porsche will not honor its warranty with problems in a tuned car. Tune when the warranty expires.LP
Attention: Turbo and Turbo S are still a Little wider than Carrera and Carrera S / GTS
It’s a great car. Enjoy. 😊
will have to do an update video as the miles add up!

The turbos are actually 3.745 liters (3.8) twin turbo
No they are not. Greetings from Stuttgart. Don’t mix up the turbo engine 992s with THE turbo
@@TobiasHenreich I was refering to the 992 Turbo and Turbo S models. But I guess he was talking about the original "Turbo"
